Introduction The governments of Europe attempts to explore infrastructure and marketissues which are related to a narrow-lane, innovative commuter car underdevelopment by a huge auto manufacturing company. This vehicle providesopportunities to improve the capacity of currently existing transportation andinfrastructure, reducing the dependence of the state on petroleum, as well aslower emissions of air pollutants. The use of a commuter car is a highly innovative transportation carconcept which is relatively comparable to that of a motorcycle in terms of size, yet offers advantages which are similar to that of an actual automobile interms of utility, comfort, and safety. Basing on the requirements of a customer, this type of commuter car may be designed with either three-wheels or four-wheels. Passenger needs that are similar to those that are available in thestandard design of automobiles, including high-quality stereo systems, climate control systems, and passenger restraint devices which would havebeen made available as options in this type of commuter car. This type of carprovides a number of advantages which are inherent in its design (Parra,2000). This dissertation presents the specifications of the product which will bedesigned using various software, market research analysis, and materialselection. DissertationLength.com
Hybrid Cars – The Evolution A hybrid car is a means of transport which uses two types of powersources: re-chargeable energy storage system which is usually found on thefuelled power source. Hybrid cars pollute less fuel. Tracing back history, in1899, Ferdinand Porsche developed, and spearhead the way to the initialresearch and working of a hybrid-electric transport vehicle. Also, there was nosingle car manufacturing company who invested in the idea, mass producinghybrid cars towards the latter part of the 20th century. The use of a hybridtechnology was primarily utilized towards the development of diesel-electricsubmarines during the course of the testing period. Yet, the major objective ofthe submarines was to potentially conserve oxygen as opposed to spendingless fuel. Years later, these submarines have further evolved, and have startedusing nuclear power as an alternative option for using diesel (Thomas, 1995). In the 1990s, the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius were considered asthe very first used profitable hybrid cars which were made available in themarket. These two pioneers where adjusted virtually the way the world looksat cars. Victor Wouk, an idealistic inventor, created a hybrid gas and theelectric car which siphoned fuel at half the usage as practically all other carscreated then. He then created the hybrid cars 30 years before the creation ofthe Toyota Prius, and before the car captured the attention of the UnitedStates as a country that relies heavily on energy. In the year 2004, Ford has created and introduced the pioneering hybridSUV, identified as the Ford Escape Hybrid. After a year, Toyota alsointroduced their line of SUV hybrid called the Highlander Hybrid. Due to theincrease in requirement of the hybrid cars, other car manufacturers nowfollow the footsteps of other companies who already purchased a standardversion of their hybrid vehicle out on the market. For example, Nissan started to develop a hybrid version of their very ownNissan Altima. Currently, more than 300,000 hybrid cars run on Americanroads while 95% of them are made in Japan. These use of hybrid vehicles areunique technologies which can both decrease environmental impact andfinancial outlay (Comer, 1996).Labor Cost From the other studies conducted in USA, typically it will completelytake up to 30 hours to create a new car, including the engine, body, assembly, transmission, paint, etc. It does not include things such asoutsourced parts, as well as recycling old cars. This time for working onlycovers the creation of a new car, since a low carbon vehicle, it will generallytake fewer hours to create it. Therefore, it is beneficial to just assume that itwill take up to 25 hours to create from scratch a low carbon vehicle in theUnited Kingdom.ReferencesComer, Y. (1996).
