FROM PRINCIPAL’S DESK It is a matter of immense pleasure that our Vidyalaya is going to share the activities of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' about the culture of the paired state, Sikkim, in the form of an E- magazine. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a significant scheme keeping in mind the cultural diversity of India and unity among its people. Regular exchange of programs based on culture and ethnicity, makes the people aware towards each other’s cultural values and further strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and also the concept of a united India, as a whole. When people exchange literature, cuisine, dance forms, songs and all, they further strengthen the innate bonds of brotherhood across the geographical and cultural divide. It works towards making the people aware of the varied topography of India and different cultures that it entails. Also, it is playing a role in bringing upon them the realization that India would be more progressive, only if the citizens stay united. It is an important step for promoting cultural connection between the Indian people and to impress upon them its necessity for nation-building. I appreciate the efforts of all the teachers and students for bringing forth the EBSB E-magazine. Principal 1.
