mixology and 33 bartending NOVEMBER 23 2021 Drinq is a full-service Bartending Boutique that boasts of the most experienced and highly acclaimed bartending staff in the country. the bartenders trained at Drinq receive rigorous in-house training in their Bartending Academy. From portable bar set ups to supplies and bartending staff, they offer everything you need to make your event or party memorable. After a few words on the Drinq Academy Mr. Baapji Chikne Surprised us with a few mixtures of a few mocktails and the way he prepared them was just so elegant you’d want to keep staring at how fast and efficiently he works. A few drinks he made for us were Spiced mangotini, Fruit sangria and an inhouse speciality the Cosmopolitan with a twist. He called out to a few students to come up on the dice to help out and prepare a few drinks with him. What’s Trending? Looking at trends, the drinks of yesteryear continue to enjoy a renaissance, although in slightly new formats. Adding your own twist and style to each drink shows a lot of your talent and adds signature and oh! How people love it. As with the ever-changing alcoholic beverages bars serve, the design of these spaces continues to evolve. Today’s bar design incorporates comprehensive equipment and ergonomic changes to enhance efficiency. While bar equipment keeps evolving, some items continue to withstand the tests of time. “For example, there was a time we told people to throw out their blenders, and now they’re putting them back in,” As drink menus become more sophisticated and extensive, so too does the equipment that supports these efforts. I personally have learned and think that when a guest walks up to a bar, it should tell them a story, set the tone and have an obvious focus. “They should know what experience they are about to have and This is done by the products carried by the bar and how they are displayed; how the bar top is set up in terms of garnishes and tools; and the way bartenders present themselves. Mr. Baapji Chikne later introduces us to another Drinq Barmen Mr. Mohsin Shaikh who comes with a twist, and the moment he took on the platform no one could take off their eyes from his pure talent. He did amazing flaring with a couple of flaring bottles and also added fire and oh so carefully handled it and made everything look so easy and smooth. Also spoke a few words on how he got into flaring and how he loves what he does. What is fruit caviar, exactly? It's basically little pearls of fruit jelly that you can add as a topping to fruit, ice cream, or even drinks. Yes you read right, fruit caviar is used in so many cocktails to add a twist. This is such a fun novelty that is so easy to make and totally customizable. The academy sent out so much fruit caviar for us to taste and it just melts in the mouth, it was so lusciously delicious. Later on Mr. Baapji had a 1on1 question answer session with us and the event wrapped up with us sharing our amazing experience with Drinq Academy. Follow Us On Social Media
