\"Not Like Other Kid\" Loud giggles and laughs are heard from the monkey bars Sadness filled me as I watched the kids from a far. Every afternoon around this village we come. Instead of playing, I pick up cans with my mom. Wished I had a childhood, and this was just a nightmare. But all I could do is to pick up tins and stare. Never had the luxury to be like other kids I was just a boy that can’t play because Mom forbids. I wish to have a new set of clothes and shoes on my feet. But, if I ask for it, I’ll be filled with guilt. We can barely afford enough food and nice shelter. Don’t even have clothes to protect us from the weather. In the future, I’ll make my mom proud, I promise. And so, my children will have the childhood that I missed.
