It is a new moon. The moon is very big. The man in the moon looks down. He looks down over the red roof of Pam and Ben's home. 1

Pam and Ben look out. They look up at the new moon. They can see the moon over the roof. “The moon looks funny,” Ben tells Pam. “It looks like it could come down here.” 2

Sox, the cat, and Tim, the dog, come to look. Sox is a little cat and Tim is a big dog. They sit with Pam and Ben. They look at the new moon too. 3

Sox and Tim are happy to see the new moon. They want to go outside, but Ben tells them, “You two must not go outside. You can look at the moon from here.” 4
