IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH SCHOOL NEWSLETTER SEMESTER 2 ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023 Welcome Back Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school helps our students to identify their interests and abilities. Our school supports our students in setting personal learning goals and facilitates student involvement and learning in decision-making regarding their own learning and the use of power and responsibility in the classroom and school. IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH KINDERGARTEN Kindergarten Learning Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School provides our kindergarten students with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills that they will use throughout their schooling. The development of self-esteem is one of the important goals of kindergarten. Ibn Rohd Al Jazirah School Kindergarten classes are designed to expand your child’s development in key areas. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing by being involved in physical activity, learning practice and resilience and being provided with opportunities to strengthen decision-making skills. Children are confident and involved learners where they are challenged and inspired to explore. NEWSLETTER 1ST TERM SEPTEMBER 2022 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OBJECTIVE IMPORTANCE As we know Education is a learning process. It helps Elementary Education has certain targeted the students develop cognitive and physical abilities and establish values ​and beliefs. During the initial years, the child’s brain’s growth and learning are rapid, so arithmetic and creativity along with elementary and primary education becomes important. character building, critical thinking, logical judgements, communication and socialization skills, behavioral, social, cultural, cognitive, physical and emotional development. CLASS ACTIVITIES English The English language is an imperative part of Ibn Roshd AL Jazira's teaching and learning process. Learning a foreign language enhances your cognitive and analytical abilities. Learning a new language can be difficult and it involves a lot of mental exercises. Research from a 2012 Swiss Study shows that learning a new language changes the brain structures, impacting the parts of the brain responsible for memory, conscious thought and it can make you more creative. In the long term, bilingualism can keep the brain strong and healthy into old age and supports concentration and memory skills. On an individual level, it improves personality and increases sense of self- worth. Spelling Activity NEWSLETTER The purpose of doing Spelling Activities is to empower students by allowing them to experience success in using real language, giving them a voice outside the classroom, and giving learning a meaningful context. Besides, joining classroom projects with literature bring cultural enrichment, language enrichment and personal involvement. PAGE 10

CLASS ACTIVITIES Math Ibn Roshd School considers Mathematics is a fundamental part of human thought and logic, and integral to attempts at understanding the world and ourselves. Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and art. Science Introducing Ibn Roshd students to science at a young age assists in their brain development. Doing science experiments helps to develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. CLASS ACTIVITIES French Studying French makes you smarter. French is one of the top ten majors most likely to lead to less unemployment and higher earnings. Studying in a French-speaking region makes you more creative. French is an easy language to learn. There are many methods that our school Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah use to make learning French enjoyable for our students. Computer Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school uses computers to teach our students more effective ways of learning. Learning becomes easier with the use of technology. Most of the technology depends on the computer system. From the basic electronic devices to astronomical devices, everything needs a computer. ART CORNER & PE ART & PE CORNER Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah has Art classes to encourage self-expression and creativity in students which can build confidence as well as a sense of individual identity in our students. PE classes in Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah provides cognitive content and instructional based design to develop motor skills, knowledge, and behaviors for physical activity and fitness. PAGE 15 NEWSLETTER

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ACT/SAT Exams Ibn Roshd AL Jazira has started ACT/SAT and Pre SAT preparation in our campus to help out our students to achieve their dreams. It focuses on school curriculum-based skills — English, math, reading. The ACT/SAT is more of a reasoning test that changes very subtly from one test to the next but still includes math, writing (English grammar), and critical reading; it does not contain a science component.
