Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah Kindergarten Activities Kindergarten Learning Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School provides our kindergarten students with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills that they will use throughout their schooling. The development of self-esteem is one of the important goals of kindergarten. Ibn Rohd Al Jazirah School Kindergarten classes are designed to expand your child’s development in key areas. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing by being involved in physical activity, learning practice and resilience and being provided with opportunities to strengthen decision-making skills. Children are confident and involved learners where they are challenged and inspired to explore. KINDERGARTEN ACTIVITIES Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah Star of the Week Every week Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School chooses one student in every kindergarten class to be the star of the week. CLASS ACTIVITIES English The English language is an imperative part of Ibn Roshd AL Jazira's teaching and learning process. Learning a foreign language enhances your cognitive and analytical abilities. Learning a new language can be difficult and it involves a lot of mental exercises. Research from a 2012 Swiss Study shows that learning a new language changes the brain structures, impacting the parts of the brain responsible for memory, conscious thought and it can make you more creative. In the long term, bilingualism can keep the brain strong and healthy into old age and supports concentration and memory skills. On an individual level, it improves personality and increases sense of self- worth. CLASS ACTIVITIES Math Ibn Roshd School considers Mathematics is a fundamental part of human thought and logic, and integral to attempts at understanding the world and ourselves. Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and art. Science Introducing students to science at a young age assists in their brain development. Doing science experiments helps to develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. CLASS ACTIVITIES French Studying French makes you smarter. French is one of the top ten majors most likely to lead to less unemployment and higher earnings. Studying in a French-speaking region makes you more creative. French is an easy language to learn. There are many methods that our school Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah use to make learning French enjoyable for our students. Computer Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school uses computers to teach our students more effective ways of learning. Learning becomes easier with the use of technology. Most of the technology depends on the computer system. From the basic electronic devices to astronomical devices, everything needs a computer. FRIENDSHIP DAY IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH FRIENDSHIP DAY Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah celebrated friendship day to celebrate the loving and platonic relationships. In the educational process, friends are crucial, they offer peer assistance and resources. ANTI BULLYING IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH ANTI BULLYING CAMPAIGN Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School held an anti-bullying campaign to educate the students about the harm bullying it carries. Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah held a ceremony honoring behaviorally disciplined students inside and outside the classroom, who were chosen based on the votes of students, teachers, and student advisor. These kinds of assessments may help teachers determine what students understand in order to build on the students' strengths and address their specific needs. Map Tests Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school is using Map growth for the map testing whereas, MAP Growth is the most trusted and innovative assessment for measuring achievement and growth for Grades 4-7 math, reading and language usage. It provides teachers with accurate, actionable evidence to help inform instructional strategies regardless of how far students are above or below grade level. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ACT/SAT & Pre SAT Ibn Roshd AL Jazira has started ACT/SAT and Pre SAT preparation in our campus to help out our students to achieve their dreams. It focuses on school curriculum-based skills — English, math, reading. The ACT/SAT is more of a reasoning test that changes very subtly from one test to the next but still includes math, writing (English grammar), and critical reading; it does not contain a science component. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Digital & Enrichment Programs Savvas One is a next-generation learning solution that provides an all-inclusive, one-year digital license to Savvas Learning Company's most popular Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies national K–12 programs. Ibn Roshd Aljazirah School using Khan Academy Kids from KG to Grade 2. Khan Academy Kids engages in a learning journey designed in collaboration with learning experts at Stanford University, and aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Students love the engaging, interactive, and fun learning experience, quickly endearing themselves to the five characters and their diverse interests. Our enrichment program from Grade 3 to 11 is using The Khan Academy that contains excellent instructional videos, practice exercises, and adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps, all of which provide a complete learning experience, freeing the teacher from lecturing, and freeing the teacher to help individual students help where and when needed. TEACHERS CORNER Teachers' Corner Teachers committee Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah teachers committee primary role is to manage teaching activities by coordinating with teachers and to ensure that teaching on school days for all classes are maintained.
