\"As soon as I think that I am a little body, I want to preserve it, to protect it, to keep it nice, at the expense of other bodies; then you and I become separate. As soon as this idea of separation comes, it opens the door to all mischief and leads to all misery. This is the utility that if a very small fractional part of human beings living today can put aside the idea of selfishness, narrowness, and littleness, this earth will become a paradise tomorrow; but with machines and improvements of material knowledge only, it will never be. These only increase misery, as oil poured on fire increases the flame all the more. Without the knowledge of the Spirit, all material knowledge is only adding fuel to fire, only giving into the hands of selfish man one more instrument to take what belongs to others, to live upon the life of others, instead of giving up his life for them.\"

ALUMNI SPEAK ROHAN RAJASEKARAN BSc PHYSICS, BATCH 2012 Applications Engineer, Tran celestial I was a student of VES college from 2009-2012 and I still remember the very serious practical sessions I passed out with a bachelor’s degree in Physics. we had in VES college where we were encouraged Post my Bachelor’s degree I did my Msc in Physics to do some actual experimentation and not plainly from KJ Somaiya college and proceeded to do my follow the instructions / lab manuals that we have. M.Tech in Photonics from IIT Madras (2014-2016) ! These practical sessions resulted in me developing I had a connection with VES college even when I critical thinking skills and the ability to come up was doing my M.Tech as one of my professors (Dr. with creative solutions to solve problems using a Deepa Venkitesh) in IIT Madras used to teach at first principles approach. I was also well trained to VES college till 2008 while she was doing her PHD not assume things and actually perform from IIT Bombay! measurements and calculations. We were also I still remember my first day in VES college when encouraged to set up exhibitions, demonstrating Professor Atul Mody was explaining that we don’t how physics principles help us in everyday life, need to feel sad or disheartened about not getting special sessions were also held in summer into Engineering (which was the thing to do after vacations to ensure that our basics were absolutely completing your 12th from the science stream clear. those days) because there was a professor who had a Ph.D. in Physics and was now teaching I will take this opportunity to thank the entire Engineering to students in IIT’s !!! At that time I had Physics dept. of VES College (inclusive of all no idea that I would go on to be a student of that Teachers and students) for moulding me into the very professor. person that I am today, and I hope VES college introduces a Master’s Program in Physics soon! Even though it has been almost 10 years since I passed out from VES college I still actively use the things I learnt there in my everyday life as an Applications Engineer for Transcelestial where we are working on providing last mile internet connectivity using Free Space optics i.e. basically, shooting laser beams between buildings and towers !
