“ABILITY is what you’re capable of doing. MOTIVATION determines what you do. ATTITUDE determines how well you do it.” - Lou Holtz
Dear Parent The past two years have been years of trial and evolution. Covid taught us the value of resilience and continuous comprehensive progress. Whatever the students and teachers learnt in the year 2020 was mastered and perfected in 2021. The online learning opened new frontiers and also gave a new dimension to competing, preparation and emerging as winners. Students participated in various intra-class, inter-class and inter-school online events and brought laurels to the school. There was a definite improvement and progress made in the online mode of teaching – from assemblies to PTMs and many other normal school activities went on smoothly. The pandemic seems to have come to an end and things are now taking a turn for the better. We surely hope that with constant parental support, the new journey that we will now embark upon will be as smooth and easy as in the past. The school, teachers and the support staff wishes all the students best for the coming session. Aamita Saini Educator
So much to be grateful for… As we are about to reach the end of this academic session and enter into the new session, let us take a moment of pause and offer our gratitude to the universe for everything that has been bestowed on us this year. There were some favours, some hardships, some privileges and some lessons for everyone. We need to be grateful for all before we move forward in life. Gratefulness is the healthiest of all human emotions. To be happy is to be grateful. Gratefulness boosts our mental and physical health and makes us stress free. We feel more confident and positive by being grateful. So, what are you grateful for? Many a times, we take things for granted and we do not realize their importance until they are taken away from us. If you want to identify what you are grateful for in your life, start with yourself, your family, your home, your school, teachers, friends, nature and even the problems of your life because they are also helping you grow. How to be grateful every day? One fun way to include gratefulness in your daily routine is having a Gratitude Jar. Have a jar and every day before you go to sleep, write a Gratitude Statement on a piece of paper and put it into the jar. A Gratitude Statement is something that happened during the day which you appreciate or are thankful for. Some examples of gratitude statements are: I am thankful for my dog as it makes me laugh. I appreciate my teacher for making the learning so interesting. I am thankful for my mother as she loves me and cares for me always. I am thankful for such a nice breeze today. There are days when we may feel low. On such days, open your Gratitude Jar and read a few gratitude statements. They will pep you up instantly and you will again jump back to your happy self! Keep growing with gratitude… Archana Bapat School Counsellor
