32020 AT A GLANCE2020 has been a watershed year, with the COVID-19 pandemic emerging as the defining, game-changing challenge for the entire world. Its silent but the rapid and deadly global spread has brought not just livelihood disruptions and financial hardship for many, but has also strained nations’ capacities, and uncovered numerous structural inequalities and societal vulnerabilities. The pandemic has tested our faith and stretched our conviction to continue loving our neighbours, as all seven nations in the Diocese have simultaneously experienced unprecedented lockdowns, hardship, and insecurity.Similar to Singapore, our six Deaneries have made attending Sunday services and cell meetings possible online; and for some, making onsite services available for those who are unable to go online, with safe distancing. Affected members are being cared for; and at the same time, they have given help to others through the distribution of care packages to the poor and needy. We also want to praise God for the many who have come to receive Him as their personal Lord through the sharing of our members during this challenging time.May your hearts be blessed through what God is doing in the Deaneries. Let us continue to make Him known among the nations. To learn more about how our seven nations of the Diocese loved their neighbours during this very difficult period, visit https://missions.anglican.org.sg
