1. NISHA PUNJABI Freelance writer based in Lucknow. She holds degrees in English Literature and Economics. From 2004 to 2005 she worked as a freelancer for Lucknow times. She won the people's choice award, Children's book trust award. Famous work 'The Race'.

It is the story of a boy called Tarun. He was a mediocre student and it describes the way how a mediocre boy face the everyday problems and comes out of the pit.

2.SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR Born on 24th April 1973 in Mumbai Maharashtra. Former Indian cricketer and captain. Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Received the Arjuna award in 1994, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 1997 and the Padma Shri and the Padma Vibhushan awards in 1999 and 2008 respectively. Awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award on 16th november 2013. Nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2012. Retired from cricket on 16th november 2013. Autobiography is \"Playing it My Way\". It was launched on 5th november 2014 in Mumbai. The book summarises Tendulkar's early days, his 24 years of international career and aspects of his life that have not been shared publicly.



3.BRYAN ADAMS & NELLY FURTADO Born on 5th november 1959 to British parents migrated to Canada. World famous Canadian singer, lyricist, guitarist, record producer, philanthropist, animal rights activist and photographer. Well known for his social and humanitarian activities. Awarded Grammy in 1991, Golden Globe in 2007 and Juno in 2008. Most popular albums are Reckless in 1984, Walking up the Neighbours in 1991, Cuts Like a Knife in 1983, Anthology in 2005, So Far So Good in 1993, 18 Til I Die in 1996 and Into the Fire in 1987.

Born on december 2, 1978 to Portuguese parents. Famous Canadian singer and song writer. Emerged as an international singer with her first album \"Whoa, Nelly!\" in 2000, produced with the help of singer Gerald Eaton and musician Brian West. Awarded Billboards in 2001, Grammy in 2022 and Juno in 2007. Major albums are Folklore in 2003, Loose in 2006, Mi Plan in 2009, The Spirit Indestructible in 2012 and The Ride in 2017. Bang the Drum was performed by popular Canadian singers Bryan Adams and Nelly Furtado in the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as a tribute to the athletes presented here.



4. LILIKA NAKOS Born on 1903. Was a Greek novelist, journalist and short story writer. One of the first women writers of modern Greek prose and for many years the only woman in Greek journalism. Best remembered for her story collection titled \"Children's Inferno: Stories of the Great Famine in Greece\". One of her best known novels is \"Last Soul\". Also author of Le livre de mon pierrot in 1928, The Deflowered One in 1932, The Lost in 1935, Nafsica in 1953, Ikarian Dreamers in 1963 and Mrs. Doremi. The story deals with the uncertainties occurred in the life of a 14 year old boy Mikali and his new born brother in a refugee camp in Armenia, situated on the outskirts of the town.

5. SAROJINI NAIDU Born on 13th February 1879 in Hyderabad. Known as \"The Nightingale of India\", was an activist of the freedom movement in India. First Indian woman appointed as President of Indian National Congress and first woman to be appointed Governor of any state in India. Awarded Hind Kesari medal in 1928. Famous works include The Golden Threshold in 1905, The Bird of Time in 1912, The Broken Wing in 1919 and The Sceptred Flute in 1948. The poem expresses the poet's desire to live in a paradise free of all evils and wickedness.

6. MAHATMA GANDHI Born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar. Known as \"The Father of Nation\". Was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial Nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance. Awarded Time Person of the Year in 1930. Autobiography is The Story of My Experiments with Truth in 1925. Other autobiographies included Satyagraha in South Africa, Hind Swaraj in 1909, a political pamphlet and John Ruskin's Unto This Last, early critique of political economy. Completed works were published by the Indian government under the name The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi in 1960. It was an ashram initiated and organised by Gandhi. He suggested that all those who had lost their jobs and homes by their participation in the Satyagraha could be settled there.

7. KHALIL GIBRAN Born on 6th January 1883 in the town of Bsharri. Was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, writer and philosopher. As a young man he immigrated with his family to the United States, where he studied art and began his literary career, writing in both English and Arabic. Major works are The Prophet in 1923, The Madman in 1918 and Broken Wings in 1922. The theme of the poem is the relationship between the rain and the Earth. Rain is the most essential companion of the Earth. It gives it life.



8.KAVERY NAMBISAN An Indian novelist born in Palangala village in South Kodagu, Karnataka. Studied medicine in St.John's Medical College, Bangalore. Her story Dr Sad and The Power Lunch was joint runner-up in the third Outlook-Picador non-fiction contest in 2003. Was elected Coorg Person of the year in 2005. Important works are The Truth, The Scent of Pepper in 1996, Mango-coloured Fish in 1998, On Wings of Butterflies in 2002, The Hills of Angheri in 2005 and A Town Like Ours in 2014. The play is about the construction of a big hotel in a beautiful village and the total destruction of nature.

9. LEONARDO DICAPRIO Born on 11th november 1974. He is an American actor, producer, the founder of Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and a UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change. Gained public recognition with leading roles in drama and films before achieving international fame with James Cameron's epic romance Titanic in 1997. Also a committed environmentalist. Awarded Academy Award, British Academy Film Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and 3 Golden Globe Awards.

Climate change is the only and single greatest security threat and if we do not act together, we will surely die. None of this is hysteria rather it’s a fact.
