It involves exploring preserved historical buildings that have been closed for decades, but left in their original states. The elements start to take over, and to see trees and moss growing in abandoned hospital ward is a unique opportunity. It is a hobby that is unusual and involves mystique, fascination and a different perspective.” What do you enjoy about photography? “I enjoy the creative process and the journey from deciding where to take the picture, right through to editing it and making final adjustments. I also like that it gets you out and about to take the shots. It makes long walks much more enjoyable, and can document where I’ve been. Angel Experiences by Christina V Howard This was an unforgettable more profound surprising experience last year it was a Friday evening and the phone rang at 5.00pm, It was Dr Amir Hannan asking me to come down to the clinic on Monday morning at 10.00 am. I was too busy as I was working on the magazine and inquired what was it about? As he is a correspondent and I’m his rare patient that he never sees as I’m healthy. He said it was important and would tell me then. Note the time. Monday morning I walked into the clinic it was very busy as usual and I told the receptionist I was expected. She said take a seat as she typed my arrival into her computer. Sitting down I became bored watching the clock and realised I had nothing to read, so decided to pass the time reading my favourite novel online, but my cell phone battery was dead which was strange as that morning it was already recharged. Glancing around at all the waiting patients non-expressive faces. My eyes kept been drawn to a young couple, both about students age and I’ve never been a people spotter as I’m not interested in what other people do and I was brought up to believe it is considered rude to stare. Yet for some strange reason my eyes kept focusing on that young woman in particular. She didn’t look anything special she had a right dour moody face and was plain looking and judging by the fiery dirty looks she was giving her boyfriend she looked fiery. I glanced away the room was filled with a variety of interesting characters yet my eyes kept reverting back to her. This puzzled me and I looked away then it happened so quick there I was quietly minding my own business and watching the clock was now 10.30 am realising the doctor was busy I stared at the ceiling then it happened from my right shoulder my Angel zoomed in which is very rare, only urgent periods in my life had he appeared to warn or save me from disasters. And even that was major miracles and spaces of years between each one. That this was a big surprise he said “ Look at her” and I didn’t need to ask who? For my eyes went automatically to that strange girl. But I looked away and again he repeated. So I looked and to my surprise there above this young girl was a female Angel with long fair hair dressed all in white weeping and she was cradling her arms and this I didn’t understand it until she looked at me pleading and pointed to the sulky girl below as the Angels tears grew more heartbreaking to watch. I instantly knew that this stranger was having an abortion. I thought how sad and looked away, but my Angel said, “Stop her”. Immediately I jumped very alarmed and shocked ignoring him. Again he repeated his command in his firm voice, but I didn’t want to know and I was by now becoming rather annoyed how dare he ask me to even consider getting involved with that person. I was also feeling angry how unfair life was as here I was childless, after suffering three miscarriages, one ectopic pregnancy and one still birth. And that person was having an abortion so disregarding these Angels intercessions As far as I was concerned it was really bad timing and messages to the wrong person. I was not in the slightest bit interested in what that stupid girl did it was her body, so be it. I never got much interested in abortion issues and though I felt it tragic and against my own beliefs and especially personal heartache. I had learnt to switch off from it all for I know many friends who did it and that were their own business. Really I was just sitting here practically minding my own business and this bizarre scenario happens how embarrassing (talk about bad timing) why now of all the places and people in the world this ridiculous happening occurs to me. “Go away” I said to my Angel as I don’t want to know and I frankly don’t give a damn what that horrible girl does Here I was, stuck between two Angels pleading with me to intervene. They just didn’t seem to understand what an awful fruitless task they were asking me to do. This was at the time so embarrassing too. I just couldn’t help I was sorry but even if I wanted to help I couldn’t as I was powerless. Shaking my head put on the spot I had to refuse and ignore them. Then I remembered all the times my Angel had saved my life and I knew that I owed it out of respect for God to listen to all this. I reluctantly cautiously said in my mind with telepathy “ Okay but tell me what to do” He said “Go over and stop her” Being still stubborn I protested I cant sure I’m in a crowed room and will look a right idiot. My Angel assured me he would be with me. Well my heart was in my mouth and I got up and walked over to this young woman and I didn’t want anyone else to hear me so standing in front of her I whispered “Er, excuse me Miss but your not going to believe this but your Angel Guardian told my Angel Guardian to tell you don’t do it: She jumped in her seat and gave me a right dirty look She said “What are you a psychic or a medium love, I’ve got no money”. I was insulted and informed her “No I was not and it was no message from Spirits, this was from real Angels.” She busted out laughing mocking me and that was it I felt humiliated and walked away back to my seat and in my mind giving out to my Angel telling him see I told you it wouldn’t work. Angel Experiences by Christina V Howard As instructed I kept my mind blank and gave my Angel free rein, suddenly all my resentment and stubborn misgivings vanished and my words changed. I stood feeling an extraordinary overwhelming indescribable love flowing from my whole being a lightness and great inner joy and kept eye contact as instructed and I said “ Do you not realise you have a very special gift’’ She stared up at me with that bold defiant expression, but as I spoke and my eyes held her gaze She silently listened and I continued in a clear voice. Gently I knelt down in front of her and held both her hand saying, “Your scared your angry and upset your upcoming University exams, your parents you haven’t told and your whole world is a mess.” She nodded her head. I smiled and told her you believe you’re all alone but your not. Beside you is the most beautiful Angel and she has been with you since birth, it was she who tenderly watched over you in your cot, and when at infant school you fell in the playground it was her comforting you and throughout your teenage years when you fought and argued with your parents she was always beside you through the tears and joy and when you were crying out for help she has heard you. Suddenly this young woman tightly squeezed my hands She gasped and smiled as I continued speaking “This dark cloud of despair will pass as sunshine of joy smiles ahead, your not on your own she is here with you and she loves you as a mother and your forever friend. Sure your parents won’t be happy at first and after the storm will welcome their grandchild. In everything you do your Angel is with you. This is the most important decision of your life choose wisely. Accept your beautiful surprise and you will never regret it.” Suddenly Dr Hannan’s voice said “Christina” and I told her I must go and even my voice came back to normal. She wouldn’t let me go and she said “ Please I have something important to tell you:” But the doctor recalled my name and I had to go, also I had come out of that trance of the firm gentle voice of my Angel and I needed to leave her and was glad to run off as I had done my deed as instructed now I was free. I gave her a reassuring smile and I knew by her radiant smiling face that something had happened and whatever her decision it was her choice. Inside the doctors room he said “Your late Christina and I said I wasn’t as I’ve been here since 10.00 am and it was 11.15am now. His receptionist entered with some papers and he said it and she confirmed she had notified him of my presence at 10.00 am but for some strange reason it hadn’t arrived on his computer until 11.00 am. Well I said “I’m here what is it you called me down for?” He looked puzzled and said “Did I?” He didn’t recall while I said “you rang me remember, last Friday evening to come here at 10.00am” He nodded saying” Yes that’s right.” So I said, is it CV1st Class Magazine? I left and walking down the hallway I dreaded going through the crowded waiting room and I planned on rushing quickly past that young woman and getting out the main doors fast. No sooner had I arrived through the waiting room any hope of rushing past unnoticed went as seeing me she rushed towards me and flung her arms around me saying loudly “ I’m going to keep my baby.” I was so delighted and that inner glow of light in my soul lifted. The young man stood up and shook my hand his face beaming with smiles. The rest of waiting patients cheered and now that they were sorted and both Angels should be happy It was time for me to leave. But she insisted on me sitting down beside her. She said her name was Emma and she had something important to tell me. I sat down puzzled as she said her appointment with a female doctor was for a referral to an abortion clinic and that doctor was late arriving as her appointment was for 10.30am the time I had spoken to her but the strangest thing was what happened prior. Emma recounted how last Friday she was distressed as her boyfriend rang begging her to keep their baby. She refused and had slammed down the phone and sitting alone in her bedroom she swore and shouted aloud if God exists I will keep the baby show me a sign send me an Angel. I asked her what time last Friday did she say this? She said exactly 5.00 pm as her parents had gone out shopping that time. I froze that was the exact time my doctor had phoned me to arrive at 10.00am and her appointment was 10.30 am and the exact time I saw her Angel Guardian and my one had communicated. Now the other puzzling element was she was an atheist, and excited her secret cry for help was answered. She asked me how my voice already soft had changed as earlier she had seen bright light in my eyes that was gone now. I encouraged her to communicate with her own beautiful Angel who had cried for help. She asked me for my contact telephone number, for she would ring me when their baby would be born. I didn’t tell her that she would have a little girl and as I left the happy young parents an older woman followed me and grabbed my arm telling me she had an abortion in her youth and always felt guilty regretting it. Suddenly that gentle soft voice staring into her eyes I said her child was a son who lives happily in the heavenly realm to go and learn to forgive her, as God loves her. As for the young couple they did have a little girl, who was saved by her Mommy’s Angel. 59
