Heritage Railroad Trolley Rides  Interactive Exhibits & Displays Museum Gift Shop  Spacious Restrooms  Picnic Areas Visitors experience History in Motion at the world’s oldest and largest Museum of Mass Transit, riding in restored antique electric streetcars on the very right of way used by the Atlantic Shoreline from 1904 to 1927. Location: 195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport --1.7 miles east of U.S. Rt. 1 in Arundel or 3.2 miles north of Kennebunkport Village (out Maine St. to North St. to Log Cabin Rd.). Plenty of Bus Parking is Available! Season Schedule: Open Daily for tour groups Patriots Day through Veterans Day, and the first two weeks of December. Hours of Operation: 10 AM to 5 PM Daily. First Group Tour of the day at 10:30 AM and last at 3 PM. Advance Reservations Requested. RAIN or SHINE Tours with a Museum Guide can be customized for your Group. Please let us know if you have specific needs or interests. There is no limit to how long you can explore the Museum on your own, or how many trolley rides your customers can take, in addition to the guided tour. The average group spends 90 minutes at the Museum. Allow 1 ½ hours for our typical tour:  15 minutes: Exhibit Hall “History in Motion, Connecting Maine Communities” explains our history, the importance of our collection, where the streetcars come from, and more.  30 minutes: Scenic Narrated Ride on our 3-mile heritage railroad in a meticulously restored century-old streetcar.  30-45 minutes: Tour 1-2 exhibit barns showcasing 30 stars in our collection of restored trolleys. Time permitting, visit Restoration Shop to see and hear about projects in progress.  15 minutes: Museum Store is the place for “Rare and Unusual Finds”, featuring an outstanding selection of trolley collectibles, videos, books, postcards, and souvenirs.
