Toddlers Spring Story Hour Locations and Times Miss Rita’s Story Hour is a “must” for all preschoolers! What Can You Do With a Library Card? Your library card is more than just a ticket to borrow books at our libraries. You can also check out magazines, movies, e-books, digital or CD audiobooks, and board games, access information from around the block or around the world using our digital databases, or borrow books and materials from over ten thousand different library facilities throughout the state of Illinois and around the world! IPDPL’s partnership with the RAILS program “Explore More Illinois” allows cardholders to use their Library Cards for a wide variety of discounts, including free or reduced cost entry to museums across the state. Anyone aged 5 or older, living in the IPDPL service area, may be eligible to get a Library Card. Cards are issued free of charge, with proof of residency.
