Parasitic Skin Infections which is bites that are irritated from bugs. Basic Structures: 1. Epidermis- two main layers of cells making up skin 2. Dermis- thick layer of skin that is composed of sweat glands and hair follicles

Neurologist diagnoses and treats disorders in the nervous system.Common Diseases:Alzheimer’s disease which is a loss of memory. Parkinson’s disease which is a disorder that causes unnatural facial expressions. Basic Structures: 1. Brain- controls the whole body 2. Spinal Cord- nerves that carries messages from brain to body 3. Nerves- signal given off by the brain or spinal cord for the rest of the body
Special SensesFunction:The eyes receives images and sends them to the brain,and the ears is to receive sounds and sends it to the brain.Careers: 1. Optometric Technicians prepare patients for examinations to get contacts or glasses. 2. Audiologist provides care to people with hearing problems.Common Diseases:Diplopia which is double vision. Hearing loss which can be the loss of some sound or all of sound completely Basic Structures: 1. Orbit- eye socket 2. Eardrum- responds to sound waves 3. Iris- colored part of eye
CardiovascularFunction:For blood to circulate throughout the body.Careers: 1. Cardiologist diagnoses and treats heart problems. 2. H ematologist diagnoses and treats blood problems.Common Diseases:Congestive Heart Failure is when the heart is not able topump (beat) enough. C oronary Artery Disease is when the arteries aren't working properly. Basic Structures: 1. Aorta- carries blood 2. Pulmonary Artery- transports de-oxygenated blood to the lungs 3. Pulmonary Veins- carries oxygenated blood back to the heart fromthe lungs
