60 | Installation, Safety & After Sales - Safety Programs SAFETY PROGRAMS Rack Safety Inspection Program To ensure a racking installation remains safe and functional, it should be inspected and maintained on an ongoing basis. Inspections can be classified into three categories: Immediate reporting Visual inspections Expert inspections SPAN is responsible for performing Expert inspections at intervals agreed upon with the Customer. During the course of the contract, a SEMA Approved Rack Inspector (SARI) visits the premises and thoroughly examines the functionality and health of the operating system in accordance with SEMA Code of Practice. A written report is submitted to the warehouse supervisor with observations and proposals for necessary actions. The Rack Safety Inspection Program also includes SPAN’s commitment in educating the person responsible for rack safety to perform immediate reporting and visual inspections. Rack Safety Training Program SPAN provides training courses to individuals at Customer organizations responsible for rack safety. The aim is to ensure that racking installations are continuously scrutinized by an individual on site, in order to protect the integrity of the system and prolong its life. Driver Initiation Training Operators of Material Handling Equipment at Customer organizations are provided with a training course on driving machines safely. The program includes sessions on a special simulator for VNA trucks.

The tools alert personnel and operators through a buzzer, vibration and signal light. Intruding incident information including ID, time, duration are recorded in the tags and wristbands. It is an economical, simple and easy way to limit the spread of infections while maintaining operations.
