Double red cell donation is donewith the help of an apheresis machine which collects the red cells butreturns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. The 2014 Unity Day event was held at the www.opp2d.orgFort Indiantown Gap military base located in Annville, Pennsylva-nia. The base trains over 100,000 National Guard members year-ly and provides training sites for other branches of the military.At the invite of Mr. Kenneth Vybiral, the bases State Equal Employ-ment Manager, Kappa Omega Brothers Eric Jackson (active), Cur-tis White (veteran) and John Frye (veteran) gave their time to supportthe endeavor and provide the hundreds of military personnel with tastysouthern cuisine. The Brothers of Kappa Omega Chapter reportedthat participants at the event commented on the presentation and howtasty the food, consisting of fried chicken, collard greens, and maca-roni and cheese, was.
