Welcome to Ma2p0p1F6e!st Has it really only just been 7 years? I decided to help raise money in 2008 for our localAndy Mapp Acorn’s Children’s Hospice after hearing how desperately they were trying to gather funds. But how? I know(!) I thought, I’ll invite a few of my friends from the localmusic scene to play in my back garden and then ask for donations! And here we are now. 2016 has grown to a huge 52ft Main Stage, TheMalvern Rocks Stage, the Acoustic Tepee as well as our good friends fromthe Pumpkin Sessions! Its truly amazing that from such humble beginningsand the unerring support from all of you, our audience, that we were able todonate all of the £6,400 raised last year to our nominated 2015 charities. Not one penny collected, not one contribution from our stallholders is usedto run MappFest. My many good friends have held fundraising events tohelp purchase everything needed, along with my personal donations andour sponsors, to make this fabulous festival possible. My special thanks goto Tim Billingham, my army of helpers and of course the Musicians! So just sit back, enjoy and when one of The Crew passes by, please pleaseconsider dropping your spare changeinto their buckets. Thank you!! Andy Mapp. ...some of the MappFest 2016 Committee! 2
