Dawson Times August 2022 Edition Back to School Principal Notes: Welcome back Patriot Families! I hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of summer and getting some quality time with family. We are so excited to kick off the 2022-2023 school year! We have so much to celebrate as a school community, starting with our 25th Anniversary! Please make sure anyone who drives your child to and from school is aware of procedures. All PK, Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grade students will utilize the front entry horseshoe with a RED colored placard. 3rd, 4th, & 5th will utilize the side horseshoe with a BLUE colored placard. When applicable, older sibling will always go to younger siblings horseshoe. ● All students/families will be assigned a dismissal number and be issued a placard at our Meet the Teacher Event. ● If walking or walking up, always cross all streets with the crossing guard or at crosswalks. Do not let your students walk between cars in the parking lot. ● Students should always get in/out of the car on the curb-side, for their safety. ● Please utilize your child’s placard in your car at dismissal to expedite our procedures. ● Please stay in your car at all times in horseshoes. Our staff and safety patrol team will assist you & your child. ● Always drive up to the beginning of the horseshoe regardless of your child's grade level. To expedite a safe, and prompt drop off, never leave gaps between vehicles. ● Students may not exit from the car in the middle of the street! ● When exiting from the front entrance, it is a RIGHT ONLY turn. The side horseshoe exit is a LEFT ONLY turn. Please help us expedite our pickup.
