The very real and true story of Mr. Climate Change Once upon a time not too long ago, in fact, even until now, humans burned lots and lots of fossil fuels to fly planes, drive cars, and keep houses bright and warm at night. This puts greenhouse gases into the air. Those gases wrap around the planet like a blanket and make everything hotter. A hotter planet means bigger storms. It melts towering chunks of ice as big as cities, so oceans rise and make it harder for animals to find places to live. It's a really, really big problem, and there are a lot of smart people working hard on it, and there's also lots that you can do a small person with a big heart to help.

The causes of the melting of glaciers are CO2 production because of human activities, in particularly the issue in atmosphere of greenhouse gases and others polluting substances. The consequences of melting glaciers are different, these are the main one: sea level rise, extinction of many living species and climate change. the species in risk of extinction are polar bears, penguins and sea turtles. Climate change is already impacting the food security and nutrition. It threatens the progress of the fight against hunger and malnutrition. Climate change also causes risks to food security especially for the most vulnerable countries and populations. We need to protect food systems urgently. It brings risks for future water in many regions. So if we do not find enough water, farmers could nt be able to grow their lands. FOR OUR LIFE Air pollution is caused by carbon emissions.It leads to many problems. It is especially bad in the more populated cities. For example, Istanbul suffers the effects because there are many personal vehicles, which emit carbon dioxide (CO2) constantly and in large amounts. As a result of air pollution, the effects of climate change are also getting worse. We can combat these by encouraging public transportation and educating citizens properly. CHANGE IN OUR STOMACHE People can’t live without food. But climate change is affecting that in a bad way because the earth is getting hotter as time goes by and the waters are getting evaporated. Because of that fewer vegetables and fruits are getting produced. The prices of foods are getting higher. People with low income can’t afford these prices. Because of these reasons, the lives of animals are also getting in danger. Fewer crops are getting produced because of climate change and this lowers the variety of foods out there. We think that our elders are healthier than the future generation, and they could live longer. Because they had clean air in the past. But in our modern period, we have a lot of air pollution. Unfortunately, we breathe dirty air, so it gives harm to our health. For example, on hot sunny days, it is very difficult to breathe. Extreme weather is very dangerous because it can cause a lot of damage to people, animal, the earth and the intire ecosystem. The extreme weather is mainly caused by climate change caused by the greenhouse effect that blocks the sun's rays in the atmosphere and causes global warming. Extreme weather is one of the many problem of climate change and can cause flooding, drought, fires, hot temperatures in summer, heavy snow in winter, acid rains that damage buildings, ... Global warming causes extreme weather. If we think about fires, hot temperatures in summer as we had especially last summer, we can understand its bad effects. The seasons are so changable. In winters, we have hot weather, but in spring we have cool and sometimes cold days as it happens in this year. Unfortunately, it has not snowed for 5 years in our region. Normally we do not have a lot of snow, but especially this year we did not have despite the snowy weather around us.
