ABOUT USTubahumurize isa Rwandangrassrootsorganization thatsupports andempowers femalevictims ofviolence andmarginalizationthrough traumacounselling,micro-creditloans, vocationaltraining, a sewingschool and acooperative.Following the 1994genocide in Rwanda,Jeanne Mwiliriza(pictured above) made ita regular practice toorganize groups offemale survivors to sharetheir stories and provideone another withemotional support. In 2006, Jeanne founded Tubahumurize Association, which means \"LET AU S C O N S O L E ND GIVE \"T H E M H O P E in Kinyarwanda. Her vision was to break the cycle of gender-based violence by empowering women.

AT O D Y Tubahumurize serves survivors of violence and other socially and economically marginalized women including: genocide survivors victims of gender-based violence women living with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses single mothers grandmothers, and orphaned girls heading up households Many of our organization's beneficiaries fall into several of these categories.
