‫سورۃ ٱلبينة‬ The Meaning of the Surah The Clear Proof 2













Verse & Translation Verse 3 ٣ٞ‫ب َق ّيِ َمة‬ٞ ‫فِي َها ُك ُت‬ In them are true writings. Let's Read Together The Prophet recites the word of truth. And this truth can be arrived at by many types of knowledge - law, literature, natural science etc. However, did they accept The Clear Proof after it was sent? 9

‫ سورۃ ٱلبينة‬98 Verse 4 The People of the Book 10

Verse & Translation Verse 4 ‫ِم ۢن‬ َّ ‫ٱلۡ ِك َت ٰـ َب‬ ْ‫أُوتُوا‬ ‫ٱلَّ ِذي َن‬ ‫َت َف َّر َق‬ ‫َو َما‬ ‫إِلا‬٤‫َب ۡع ِد َما َجآ َء ۡت ُه ُم ٱلۡ َب ّيِ َن ُة‬ Yet, those who were given the Scripture did not divide among themselves except after the Clear Proof came to them. Let's Read Together Unfortunately, most of them did not heed The Clear Proof. Rather, the People of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) became divided among themselves after The Clear Proof was sent. Some of them believed in the proof and believed in Allah, while others did not because of their own stubbornness. Do you think it is weird for them to not believe in the Clear Proof? 11

‫ سورۃ البينة‬98 Verse 5 Upright Religion 12

VVeerrssee&&TTrraannsslalatitoionn Verse 5 ‫ُمۡخلِ ِصي َن‬ ‫ٱلَّ َل‬ ْ‫ل ِ َي ۡع ُب ُدوا‬ َّ ْ‫أُ ِم ُر ٓوا‬ ٓ‫َو َما‬ ‫إِلا‬ ‫لَ ُه ٱل ِّدي َن ُح َن َفآ َء َو ُيقِي ُمواْ ٱل َّص َل ٰوةَ َو ُي ۡؤتُواْ ٱل َّز َك ٰوةَ ۚ َو َذٰلِ َك دِي ُن‬ ٥ ‫ٱلۡ َق ّيِ َم ِة‬ They were commanded only to worship Allah, devoting their faith to Him alone, and to practice regular prayers, and to pay Zakat. That is the upright religion. Let's Read Together Yes. Because Allah did not order them with extraordinary tasks. Allah only ordered them to worship Him alone and not to mix their belief with other beliefs, to pray and to pay Zakat. These are simple orders that have been sent to all the Prophets before Prophet Muhammad. Dictionary Devoting : to be sincere and to fully follow Allah’s order. 13

‫ سورۃ ٱلبينة‬98 Verse 6 Bad People 14

Verse & Translation Verse 6 ٦‫َوَٱشلُّۡرُم ٱۡلۡشبَِر ِركِ َّييةَِن‬ ‫َخ َٰـكلَِف ِدُريو َاْن ِمفِيۡن َهأآَ ۚ ۡهأُ ِ ْلولَٱـٰٓلۡئِ ِك َ َتك ٰـ ُه ِ ۡبم‬ ‫ٱلَّ ِذي َن‬ ‫إِ َّن‬ ‫ف ِى‬ ‫َج َه َّن َم‬ ِ‫نَار‬ Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book, and the idol worshippers, will be in the Hellfire, they will stay there forever. They are the worst of creations. Let's Read Together People who knowingly disbelieve and reject the Clear Proof will be punished. They are the worst of creations. This is because they purposely reject the rules of the Creator and follow their own sinful desires even after knowing the truth. 15

‫ سورۃ ٱلبينة‬98 Verse 7 Good People 16

Verse & Translation Verse 7 ‫َو َع ِم ُلواْ ٱل َّص ٰـلِ َح ٰـ ِت‬ ‫ٱلَّأُ ِذ ْويلَ َـٰٓنئِ َء َاكَم ُن ُهواْۡم‬ ‫إِ َّن‬ ٧ِ‫َخ ۡي ُر ٱلۡبَ ِر َّية‬ Those who believe and do good deeds are the best of creations. Let's Read Together People who believe in Allah and in the Clear Proof, and do righteous deeds are the best of creation. It is because they accept the truth that Allah has shown them and choose to act according to the Clear Proof after knowing it. What will they get for following the Clear Proof? 17

‫ سورۃ ٱلبينة‬98 Verse 8 Gardens of ‘Adn 18

Verse & Translation Verse 8 ‫َج َزآ ُؤ ُه ۡم ِعن َد َر ّبِ ِه ۡم َج َّن ٰـ ُت َع ۡد ٖن َتۡج ِرى ِمن َتۡحتِ َها ٱل ۡ َأ ۡن َه ٰـ ُر َخ ٰـلِ ِدي َن‬ ٧ ‫فِي َهآ َأبَ ٗدا ۖ َّر ِض َى ٱلَّ ُل َع ۡن ُه ۡم َو َر ُضواْ َع ۡن ُه ۚ َذٰلِ َك لِ َم ۡن َخ ِش َى َر َّب ُهۥ‬ Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eternity (‘Adn) beneath which rivers flow, where they will live forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears His Lord. Let's Read Together As a result of their hard work in this world, Allah prepares for them a resting place in the Hereafter. The believers will enter heaven and live in the Gardens of ‘Adn where rivers flow. It is so beautiful! They can live there forever as they like. Allah is happy with their efforts, and they are also happy with His rewards. They feel happy to worship Allah willingly, and at the same time, their feelings are balanced with fear of Allah’s punishment too when they commit wrongdoings. How amazing is the best people! Wouldn’t you like to be one of them? 19

‫ُسسو َرورۃۃٱ ْلاَبل ِّيب َني ُنةة‬ Summary Surah al-Bayyinah is a Medinan surah. “al-Bayyinah” means The Clear Proof. When Prophet Muhammad SAW came with the Quran as a proof of Islam, the people were divided between believing the Prophet and disbelieving him. The disbelievers are warned with bad endings, while the believers are promised with good news. ‫سورۃ البينة‬ Synonyms Separate = Divide; split up; part Proof = Evidence; confirmation Upright = True; Correct Lessons 1. We must strive to be sincere in our belief in Allah. 2. We must follow the truth by finding strong proofs. And Islam has the proof. Thus, it is the truth. 3. Allah did not order us with difficult task. He ordered us to pray to him and to give charity. This is for our own good too. 21

‫سورۃ ٱلبينة‬ ‫سورۃ البينة‬ The Clear Proof Mind Map 98 It is a Medinan Surah. Name Main of Surah: Objective of the Al-Bayyinah is taken Surah: from Ayah 1. It means The Clear Proof about Islam is the only one true religion. Islam as the true religion. Themes of the Surah: Ayah 1-4: People became separated because of the Clear Proof.
