‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verse 10 Bad Outcomes 10

Verse & Translation Verse 10 ‫َج َه َّن َم‬١٠‫ُث َّم لَ ۡمَولَ َيُه ُت ۡمو ُب َوعاۡ َذ َفالَ ُ ُهبمٱلَۡعحَ َِرذاي ُِقب‬ Those who tempt the believers, men and women, then do not repent; for them is the punishment of Hell; for them is the punishment of Burning. Let's Read Together They think they can mistreat the Muslims and get away. Absolutely not! If they don’t stop, they will be tormented gravely in the Hell of Jahannam. This is the bottom most part of Hell. Its fire is the hottest. And its punishments are the most harmful. 11

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verse 11 Rivers in Paradise 12

Verse & Translation Verse 11 ‫ ٰۡـن َلِه ٰـ َحُر ٰـۚ َِذتٰلِلَ َُهك ۡم‬1‫صَأ‬1َّۡ ‫إِ َّنَجٱَّنلَّٰـ ِذيٌتَن َتَۡجءارِٱَملۡ ُن َىفواۡۡو ِم ُزَونٱَعلۡ ِمَتَۡحلُكتِبِواَۡيهاُٱرلٱل‬ Those who believe and do righteous deeds will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. Let's Read Together On the other hand, Muslims who have patience with the tests that they face will be rewarded many times better with the bounties in Paradise. There, rivers of many kinds flow without stop. And they can enjoy its deliciousness and other blessings happily. 13

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verses 12-13 Tight Grip 14

Verse & Translation Verses 12-13 ١٢‫إِ َّن َب ۡط َش َر ّبِ َك لَ َش ِدي ٌد‬ The grip of your Lord is severe. ١٣‫إِنَّ ُهۥ ُه َو ُي ۡب ِد ُئ َو ُيعِي ُد‬ It is He who begins and repeats. Let's Read Together And again, Allah warns those who mistreat the Muslims. If Allah is the backup, the enemies will never stand a chance at winning – not even the chance at surviving. Because when Allah gets His hands on His enemies, He will not let go. And when He gets a grip at the enemies, they will surely perish. 15

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verses 14-16 The Forgiver 16

Verse & Translation Verses 14-16 ١٤‫َو ُه َو ٱلۡ َغ ُفو ُر ٱلۡ َو ُدو ُد‬ And He is the Forgiving, the Loving. ١٥‫ُذو ٱلۡ َع ۡر ِش ٱلۡ َم ِجي ُد‬ Possessor of the Glorious Throne, ١٦‫َف َّعا ٌل لِّ َما يُ ِري ُد‬ Doer of whatever He wills. Let's Read Together But Allah is also The Most Forgiving towards those who repent from their sins. If they stop mistreating the Muslims, then Allah will not punish them. And He can do so, because is the King of all kings. He can do whatever He wants. 17

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verses 17-18 Firaun and Thamud 18

Verse & Translation Verses 17-18 ١٧‫َه ۡل َأتَىٰ َك َح ِدي ُث ٱلۡجُ ُنو ِد‬ Has there come to you the story of the legions? ١٨‫فِ ۡر َع ۡو َن َو َث ُمو َد‬ Of Pharaoh and Thamud? Let's Read Together But the disbelievers continue to be stubborn in their ways. So, Allah brings up stories of the people of the past – the stories of Fir'awn and the People of Thamud. They were far mightier than the disbelievers of Makkah. But even they didn’t stand a chance against Allah. So, what makes the people of Makkah think that they can outwit Allah? 19

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verses 19-20 The Engulfer 20

Verse & Translation Verses 19-20 ١٩‫بَ ِل ٱلَّ ِذي َن َك َف ُرواۡ ف ِى تَ ۡك ِذي ٍب‬ In fact, those who disbelieve are in denial! ٢٠‫َوٱلَّ ُل ِمن َو َرآئِ ِهم ُّمحِيُۢط‬ And God encloses them from beyond. They think they can protect themLseetlv'seRs efraodmTAolglaeht’sher anger. But they have mistaken. Allah can come at them from anywhere that they cannot expect. And whenever Allah comes at someone, he cannot escape Him. 21

‫سورۃ البروج‬‎ 85 Verses 21-22 Lawh Mahfuz 22

Verse & Translation Verses 21-22 ٢١‫بَ ۡل ُه َو قُ ۡر َءا ٌن َّمِجي ٌد‬ In fact, it is a Glorious Quran. ٢٢‫ف ِى لَ ۡو ٍح َّمۡح ُفوظ‬ In fact, it is a Glorious Quran. Let's Read Together Even then, they continued to make fun of the Prophet, the Muslims, and the Quran. They continued to oppress and deny the coming of the Judgment Day. But then Allah replies that the truth is not compromised by their disbelief. Joke about it all they want, it will come. Because the truth in the Quran is already prescribed in Lawh Mahfuz. And whatever that is already written there will never change. 23

Summary Surah al-Buruj promises a deliverance for Muslims from the oppression of the disbelievers. Their fate will be stood up for. And the truth of the Quran will never get tainted even if the disbelievers make fun of it. Synonyms Constellation = a group or cluster of stars Witness = Spectator, Watcher Throne = Seat Majestic = Grand Forgiving = Pardoning Denial = Rejection Moral Values 1. We should do good to our fellow muslims. 2. We must acknowledge the truth of al-Quran. 24
