HERITAGE HISTORY The Royal Connaught Boat club, 148 years old, was established in 1868 under the name “Poona Boat Club” on the scenic banks of Mula-Mutha River located in the heart of Pune city. The club was renamed as “Poona Royal Connaught Club” in 1889 to honor the Royal His highness the Duke of Connaught, the commander-in-chief of Bombay Army. In 1928, the Club’s name was changed to “Royal Connaught Boat Club”. It has been home to many outstanding sports personalities and has been providing excellent facilities Sailing, Boating, Rowing, Billiards, Court Tennis, Table Tennis, Card Room, Swimming Pool, Health Club and Children’s Park. Our vision is to create legacy with a passion of providing high level of amenities through seamless dedication and professionalism in a comfort ambience. FACILITIES Tennis court- downright smashing Sports Our well maintained tennis hard-court is breeding ground for upcoming champions. There is nothing like racket sports to test your stamina. Large number of members, children and guests can avail the professional coaching facilities throughout the year. Junior tennis tournaments are conducted each year with attractive prizes. The main aim of the tournament is to imbibe the spirit of participation among peers.

Boating and Rowing- One Spirit, OneStroke.The main purpose of establishing the Club was for Boatingand Rowing. Boating activities have gained an unbelievablyhumongous momentum in the recent times. This activityhas been rejuvenated and a large number of members andtheir children have started taking active interest in this sport.Our enthusiastic boating members have participated at theNational level and won two gold, two silver and one bronzemedal, thus, adding laurels to the cap of our Club.Swimming pool- Be the fishA plunge in the blue water on a sunny day is anytimeastonishing. Relax and enjoy our aqua swim and aquaaerobics at swimming pool. The swimming pool and Babyswimming pool both has comfortable dimensions forenthusiastic swimmers and well maintain by trained staff.Coaching classes are available for members, children andguests.

Dandiya The most awaited “DANDIYA” to say GOOD BYE to MONSOON- Lord Varuna and to welcome the Festival season, “DANDIYA” is celebrated under the beat of drums and music played by the best band in town. New year eve On NEW YEAR’S EVE, DJ DANCE with LED floor is one of the most popular themes of the year with a large attendance of members and their guest to welcome the New Year. It is one of the MEGA events in Royal Connaught Boat Club.Diwali MelaDiwali, the festival of lights is celebrated with active participation of approx 400children. Variety of games, mini giant-wheel, merry-go-round are arranged forthem absolutely free of cost. In addition, magic shows are also arranged.Children’s partyChildren’s Xmas party is arranged for children to welcome the arrival of SANTACLAUS wishing everyone “A merry Christmas”.
