RecPrAuiStmEent week PATTS Senior High School Organizations' Recruitment Week, the time has finally come for our newly elected Organizations Officers to create their own booth and find potential new members for their organizations. For PASE, things have started off well, we started our booth early and were confident that our sights will attract senior high school students to come and join us. We have broadcasted our recruitment week through online platforms such as Facebook and even google classroom to further heighten our reach to the students. PASE was nervous that it won't get any recruits considering that our organization was like only a branch of the STEM-SOC Organization but our fresh batch of Grade 11 did not fail us. A group of eager Grade 11 students has approached PASE and has become official members, even some Grade 12 students have come and joined PASE. In the end, PASE has successfully gained young minds that will help us throughout the year and will be nourished to soon become the ones to step into our places. 202V2O-L2.023

e ASSESMHBSLTYGALE&KNAERVIAALTIONvery grade level of kids will come together at a mass assembly to communicate and chill out. The PSHC officers put in a lot of effort to make this event successful, and it is. The two PSHC officers are the project heads for this event, and they carry out their duties to make it happen. There are various advantages and disadvantages that require us to develop our talents, particularly in time management. Although it is difficult for us to hear the unfavorable opinions, it also serves as a reminder that being an officer is not simple. The Annual PATTS Senior High School Department General Assembly was successfully spearheaded by the two PATTS Senior High Council Officers in coordination with the other three SHS Organizations to also add in the PATTS Aviation Talk. SHS Students got to showcase their mind through tinkering and pondering about the various interactive and academic competitions that they have been presented and prepared for them by the coordinated works of the SHS Organizations, furthermore, the PATTS Senior High Students got a gist of the different college programs being offered to them by the PATTS College of Aeronautics. This has been all made possible by the eagerness of our students to get together whilst following the minimum safety guidelines as well as the different PATTS Program Chairpersons who are all excited to showcase what they have to offer to our bright and budding minds from the PATTS Senior High School Department. Challenges rose for the two officers who spearheaded this project but, their fellow PSHC Officers supported them throughout the mishaps and challenges and alongside the PSHC Manpower comes the amazing support from STEM-SOC, ABM-SOC, and PASE who all gave their aid to make this groundbreaking event for PSHC to happen. 202V2O-L2.023

TSAKTE-UOFDF:PETHRNEOFTUTGUDRREEOVAFEMPHLILOIP3PPI.NM0E AVEIANTIOTN Your Career Your Future! In two years, we are now back in the onsite forum! Student Development Program 3.0 was an astonishing success, to be back in the face-to-face modality is such a great experience and it was refreshing that we can communicate face-to-face again. The students showed that they want to learn something new about the aviation industry. Thanks to this forum new pathways and opportunities have opened up for PATTSeans who want to pursue aviation. In line with this, the event was a success! The forum was concluded at the PATTS Audio Visual Room, and was organized by the Grade 12- Coordinator Mr. Virgilio V. Dolina Jr., and the STEM Society officers. With their hard work and motivation the event concluded a successful event. Regardless of the busy schedules of students and officers and their studies, and with making the Scale Model Competition (refer to page) they did the event without hesitation. Presidents of each organizations PSHC, STEM, ABM, and PASE find some time to go over to the organization and plan. The forum was fun and interactive and it was a big leap for the SHS students who want to pursue aviation soon. Within the forum, we have invited a guest speaker from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. Captain Victor N. Aguilar, with his expertise and knowledge of aviation PATTSeans, has opened their minds and asked questions to Capt. Aguilar, “What will be the future of Philippine aviation?”. Due to the pandemic, the aviation industry sloped down and many workers have lost their jobs, Capt. Aguilar answers their questions steadily and professionally. Not only the students have gained awareness of the aviation industry. They are now readily going to be the next FUTURE OF THE PHILIPPINE AVIATION! 202V2O-L2.023

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 3.0 e x h i b i tscale model competition The Scale Model Competition and Exhibit was an event conducted by the Senior High School Department of PATTS College of Aeronautics where all the SHS students participated. The students showcase their skills and talents by creating an authentic scale model aircraft with the use of different materials and all outputs were definitely a success. The aircrafts made were displayed in the exhibit organized by the ABM Society located in the first-floor lobby where they all did the planning and designing. The SMC Exhibit featured model World War II aircraft made by SHS students at PATTS College of Aeronautics. This display is both a student competition and a project for a fundraising event. The aircraft that each Senior High School group crafted may be offered for auction or given to the institution. Students were able to display their skills and abilities through this exhibit while also contributing to the creation of an outreach program. Since Christmas is approaching, money from the registration fees paid by exhibit visitors was used to support a charitable outreach program. We can see how far a 20 peso paid for the registration fee for this exhibit may have been by how many people it benefited and made happy during the holidays. Not only the SMC Exhibit made the students very happy before their holidays, they have also revealed their hidden talents in terms of creativity and capabilities of creating an aircraft model, specifically world war 2 aircrafts which is not a joke in copying it. World war 2 aircrafts are hard to make because of its complex designs with guns and armors all around it because it was used in wars against humans across the world. And seeing this and knowing that the students in PATTS can do such complex designs can really assure that students here are remarkable and talented. And as the SMC Exhibit goes on and a lot of judges who judged the aircrafts, some of the aircrafts were bought and some of the aircrafts were kept in the school and remain a demonstration and sample of why students of the PATTS College of Aeronautics are beyond great! 202V2O-L2.023

S\"AHVSoySagPe:OARscTenSsFioEnStoTO2ly0mp2us3\" S portsfest is an annual celebration of sports and athletic prowess among the senior high school students of PATTS College of Aeronautics. \"A Voyage: Ascension to Olympus\" was the theme for this year's celebration, which aims to inspire the students to aim higher and reach greatness in their chosen sports. This is to exercise and display discipline and sportsmanship among students as part of their co-curricular program. This event was organized by PATTS Senior High School and is one of the biggest events they hold every year. The theme \"A Voyage: Ascension to Olympus\" is based on the project head's perspective, as the ascension to Olympus symbolizes the return of sportsfest in our respective school since the pandemic happened, as well as the sportsmanship of every student because it was restricted to play any sports because they involve physical contact. It was also based on the idea that athletics teaches participants mental agility, tenacity, determination, camaraderie, rapport, and unity in addition to physical fitness. It takes time and effort to develop into a great athlete, but the road is worthwhile. The name \"Olympus\" refers to Mount Olympus, which is the highest point in Greece and was once thought to be the home of the gods. It serves as an apt metaphor for the pinnacles of brilliance that can be attained in the sports world. The torch lighting symbolizes the declaration of the opening of the SHS Sportsfest 2022, led by the following officials: Athletics Director, Mr. Benjamin V. Hernandez, Jr.; SHS Principal, Dr. Catherine M. Camposano; Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Emelita I. Javier; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Atty. Katrina V. Cruz, SHS Chancellor Sean L. Babiera, together with the College President and COO, Engr. Eduardo S. Valdez A multi-awarded volleyball player in the country and the 1st Best Middle Blocker of the recently concluded 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, the Middle Blocker of the PLDT High Speed Hitters, Ms. Mika Aereen M. Reyes, attended the celebration as the SHS Sportsfest Guest of Honor. She gives the senior high school student a motivational speech in which she gives a brief b ackground on her life and gives a lesson to the student. She once said that she is like a normal student who doesn't have that many high grades; she is just an average student, but that doesn't hinder her passion as a volleyball player. She wants to tell us in her story that failing doesn't mean it is the end; instead, it is a lesson that failing is a redirection, because in every failure there is always a lesson that will help us get better. But, the opening ceremony would not be complete without the most anticipated highlight of the ceremony, which is Ms. Sportsfest 2022, with eight beautiful candidates from their respective sections from Airbus, Boeing, Cessna, Earhart, Lilienthal, Montgolfier, and Wright. They are dressed in their goddess costume, which is connected to the Sportsfest theme. They are competing for the crown of Olympus. But despite the heated battle of the beautiful ladies, Ms. Nicole Palmera from Section Lilienthal won the battle and was crowned Ms. Sportsfest 2022, together with Ms. Bianca Santos as the 1st Runner Up and Ms. Bridgette Niepes as the 2nd Runner Up. As the opening ceremony came to an end, the gymnasium was filled with screams as Ms. Mika Reyes came down to toss the ball and have a photo session with the students. After the opening ceremony, the games immediately started. After days of competing, the last day of the event comes as the awarding of the winner has been held. The winners for the ball games are the following: The champion of basketball was awarded to Section Lilienthal as they defended their standing. The volleyball champion was awarded to Section Boeing for the men's division and ABM Strand for the women's division. While the winners for traditional games are the following: The Patintero champion was awarded to Section Cessna. The Dodge Ball champion was awarded to Section Lilienthal. And the winners for e-games are the following: the champion for Mobile Legends is the section Airbus, while the champion for CODM was awarded to the section Cessna, and the champion for 8Ball was awarded to Kenshin Tanyag from the section Wright. Lastly, the winners for the board games are the following: the champion for darts is Andrei Asprec from Section Cayley, and the chess champion was awarded to Jeisen Panganiban from Section Wright. In conclusion, it was successful. As we wrapped up this event, we learned that, despite the competition, we would still remain as one after the game as the competition between sections would only stay on the court. The development of characteristics is the foundation for building unity, which helps the student strengthen their camaraderie and sportsmanship. 202V2O-L2.023

SHSPACRHTRYISTMAS The senior high school Christmas party held in PATTS sounds like a wonderful and festive occasion. It's heartwarming to hear that the students enjoyed each other's company and had fun playing games and exchanging gifts. The fact that they dressed up according to their chosen theme shows how creative and enthusiastic they were about the event. In addition to the fun and games, the senior high school Christmas party in PATTS also provided an opportunity for the students to bond and strengthen their relationships with one another. The holiday season is a time for giving and sharing, and the students were able to do just that by exchanging gifts. This act of generosity not only brought joy to the recipients but also fostered a sense of community and goodwill among the students. Furthermore, the fact that the party was held in their respective classrooms added a touch of intimacy and warmth to the celebration. It provided a cozy and comfortable setting for the students to relax and let loose with their classmates. It also allowed them to showcase their personalities and creativity through their chosen themes and costumes. This kind of event can truly create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds between classmates, which is important for a supportive and positive learning environment. It's great to see that the spirit of Christmas was alive and well at the senior high school Christmas party in PATTS. It's important to cherish these moments of togetherness and celebration, especially during these challenging times. Overall, the senior high school Christmas party in PATTS was a great way for the students to come together and celebrate the holiday season while fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. 202V2O-L2.023

ChristpmraosgOruatmreach SUPERMAN! The Christmas outreach was an incredibly heartwarming experience. As we arrived, we were greeted by a group of children who were excitedly waiting for us. Seeing their faces light up as we handed them gifts and food was a truly unforgettable sight. It was heartwarming to see the joy and happiness that we were able to bring to these children during the holiday season. What struck us the most about this experience was the sense of community that we were able to create. The children at the orphanage were able to come together with our group and celebrate Christmas as a family. We were able to provide them with a sense of belonging and love that they may not have experienced before. As we spent time with the children, it became clear that the gifts and food were just a small part of what made this experience so special. It was the connection that we were able to make with the children that truly made a difference. We were able to show them that they are valued and loved, and that they deserve to have a happy and fulfilling life. Overall, the Christmas outreach was a beautiful and rewarding experience. It was a reminder of the importance of giving back to those in need, and of the power of community in creating positive change. I left feeling grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children, and inspired to continue to find ways to give back to those in need. 202V2O-L2.023

Valentine’s DaY My Valentine: A Gift for You and Me Sweet and filled with love, that’s the goal for this day. For this lovely event, the PATTS Senior High Council prepared a mini-event for the students of PATTS on February 14, 2023. A photobooth and a letter-delivery service were made available for the customers! Many were interested from both SHS and College departments. In charge of this heartwarming event were the Grade 11 Representatives of the PSHC; Takuto G. Suzuki and Roselle Andrea M. Advincula. Together with them were their trusted committee members and incoming party members. All progress can be credited to everyone as they did it altogether. From searching for the potential products, to making the backdrops and props, and to the main day itself! Such great coordination for each and everyone. Having this event really caused some sparks for the students, may it be for the laugh or love. Positive remarks were duly noted, benefits in their social life and for the organizations are only one of the main goals set by the organizing committee. High hopes for another Valentine’s Day mini-event next year indeed. Who knows, maybe you can send a letter to a loved one too! 202V2O-L2.023

THE BSRTEAMWLMOAFSTTHERESB:RAINS After two years of waiting, guess who’s back..! The return of STEM Masters, this year entitled The Brawl of the Brains was held at PATTS College of Aeronautics wherein Senior High School students engaged in a battle of intellect. Participants in this event were able to showcase the true ways of the STEM Masters with their skills and talents. The academic games were all highly competitive and exciting. The events held were Quiz Bee which tested their knowledge in STEM- related topics, Sudoku which tested their speed and accuracy, and lastly, Poster- Making competition which unleashed the participant’s creativity and artistic skills. The STEM Society hosts these annual events. As this year’s project was the first Hybrid set-up after 2 years, the officers planned tremendously to make sure everything went smoothly. The organization’s Grade 11 Representatives, Mr. Marc Benedict Alberto and Ms. Bianca Alexandria Santos were assigned as project heads for this event; the interns of the STEM Society were also assigned to aid and be hands-on with this event. The main objective of this annual project is to encourage students to showcase their wits and intelligence in the best way possible, as well as hone their skills in socializing and improving their camaraderie. TThe officers brainstormed to finalize the games for the event, it was agreed that the organization will not be able to handle heavy games as other Foundation Day festivities are coming right after this project. The games were designed to be played on campus in the lobby area, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the event had to be rescheduled and made an online event. On such short notice, the officers and interns were still able to make changes to accommodate the sudden change in mode. Nonetheless, the event went successfully — although a few students had trouble answering the Sudoku puzzle, the heads were able to formulate a solution and help them within the limited time frame. One of the STEM Society’s major events for the second semester ended on a good note, with the winners and participants receiving their prizes and certificates. Within this event, it was also shown how competent and responsible each and everyone is under the STEM Society. You can’t help but be grateful for the experiences! 202V2O-L2.023

Mochi Komachi, where every bite’s anBdoBaoztahasr a savory pachi pachi! All orgs combined in one! The Booths and Bazaar is one of the annual events that happens in PATTS. In preparation for this all; of the SHS Organizations offered each other a helping hand to make one Booth come to life! With a Japanese Lantern Festival theme, the Mochi Komachi booth came to life. Despite being a collaboration activity, it is undoubtedly the great effort and hard work of the Grade 11 students that stood out the most! It served as their preparation as they are incoming Organization Officers as well. From March 16, 2023 to March 17 2023 the Booth was opened. The Menu was fun-packed with Japanese Cuisine such as: Fried Tofu, Friend Gyoza and refreshments of; Iced Matcha Latte, Iced Coffee and Matcha Iced Tea. These were well prepared by different teams initiated by the organizing committee. The Marketing Team, who handled most of the publications and the branding of the products. The Booth Design Team, which took care of the display and design presented at the area. The Products and Services Team, that handled the cooking and all major labor works in running the booth. And lastly, the Finance team, which did more of the behind the scenes task as they handled our money. Experience and learnings are well accepted from this event. Everyone got a piece of what to experience in the future! It is such a valuable event as they showcased the talents of the SHS Department of PATTS alongside the other COllege Booths. Like so, if you get to taste the products, you can’t deny the greatness. Tune up for more in the upcoming years of the Booths and Bazaars. 202V2O-L2.023

DD77eettmmhhooSSnnHHssSSttrFrFiaiaeetltldidioonn yeoleobun, annyeonghaseyo~! In recognition of the 54th anniversary of the institution, one of the largest celebrations in PATTS College of Aeronautics the 7th SHS Field Demonstration is where the Senior High School students engaged in a cheer dance competition with the K-Pop theme. All students were given the opportunity to showcase their abilities and potential in dancing. The ABM Society encouraged all PATTSeans to watch the 7th SHS Field Demonstration featuring performances by the Senior High School Students! In this event each section needs to create a cheer dance number using popular K-pop music. The program was held in the PATTS College of Aeronautics Gymnasium, March 17, 2023. After more than a month of preparation, the SHS Field Demonstration event, one of the major PATTS events, has finally reached its official day. The students attended a mass on March 17, 2023, before an opening ceremony to mark the 54th anniversary of the foundation. As the propmen took care of their props, the SHS students started getting ready for the field demonstration by wearing their appropriate costumes and applying makeup and face paint. The ABM students then organized each group by leading them to the gymnasium. Klive Luis Feliciano of grade 12 Lilienthal and Mary Gabrielle Patena of grade 12 Earhart, who served as the event moderators, performed an opening dance routine to kick off the show. The event's competition is about to begin, which will be the most exciting part. The audience was excited as all of the STEM students showcased their amazing and entertaining dancing skills. One way of honoring such a day is performing on a field demonstration planned by the ABM students, Senior High School Department. This event is a chance for an organization to unite and remember its outstanding past events with its peers, staff members, and supporters. Demonstrations assist in teaching a skill with several steps. They engage the audience and inspire audience engagement. 202V2O-L2.023

CLASS PICTORIAL A camera is merely a means to an end in taking pictures, but these pictures bring back memories that will last a lifetime. Throughout the school year, friendships were formed and bonds were strengthened. In order to preserve this memory for the students, the PATTS Senior High Council organized a face-to-face class pictorial for the first time in 3 years, serving as an acknowledgment of the experiences the batch of S.Y. 2022 – 2023 have had together. Keeping up with the tradition the PATTS Senior High Department has done, the background of the class pictorial was the chapel, seemingly creating an allusion that the Heavenly Father is behind our journey to becoming professionals in the aviation industry. When the day came, the students took their time in preparing themselves in order to look clean and orderly on the pictures. As each section was called to the location, their class advisers and our PATTS Senior High School principal Dr. Catherine M. Camposano joined them. As the shutters clicked, the students posed formally and candidly, capturing each and every expression. Some even gave their phones to the photographers in order to have their own chosen style of pictures taken. Everyone indulged in each other's company, with some students realizing that they will part ways as they will pursue different degrees in college. But at that moment, it didn't matter because what's important for them is that they have spent and enjoyed their first face- to-face experience since 2020 with each other. With the class pictorial realizing every goal it was trying to achieve, it was a successful event and it is a testament to how far the students have come in their journey. Now that the restrictions in regards to the pandemic have gone away, it is just right that this tradition will continue in the years to come. 202V2O-L2.023

DEBATE O’CLOCKSTUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 4.2: So What time is it? It's Debate O’Clock..! In the first-ever SDP 4.2: Debate O'Clock, senior high school students under grade eleven were given a platform to showcase their intellectual prowess. Eight debate teams engaged in fierce battles of words and phrases throughout a series of elimination rounds. Ultimately, two outstanding teams emerged as finalists and earned the honor of participating in the highly anticipated Grand Finale. The SDP 4.2: Debate O'Clock was able to hone the students’ critical thinking skills and open their minds to different perspectives. Following the Student Development Program 4.0 for the 2nd semester, the Grade 11 representatives and interns of the STEM Society, along with the Grade 11 Coordinator, Mr. Bonifacio Perido, organized a senior high school debate competition aligned with their curriculum. The event was entitled Debate O’Clock. Months had been allotted for preparation as this event serves as tasks, projects, and incentives in some subjects. The groups for the competition were formed by the participants themselves and were required to have three debaters and, at most, two researchers in the group. Afterward, they were gathered to decide on what topics will be used for the first elimination round. Four groups won the first round and moved on to the semi-finals. Moving on to the semi- finals, the organizers decided on the debate motions with help from a teacher in correlation to it being related to the aviation industry. From this, the two groups won and will be facing each other in the final debate. The organizers were given a specific topic and then were tasked to create a motion regarding said topic. The final debate was set to be done in the PATTS AVR, but unfortunately, there were complications and they had to resort to using one of the PABEX classrooms. Nonetheless, the final debate was a success and concluded with fantastic final thoughts from the panelists. The awarding ceremony was done on the same day and program as the awarding of the Grade 12 SDP Business Expo. Overall, the grade eleven students were able to kickstart this event independently and successfully. Though unfortunate events happened, the organizers were able to find a solution and prevent other issues from occurring. The participants exhibited excellent speech and argument.
