11 Social Work Freshmen Orientation Camp 2021 Booklet
2 Welcome! Hello incoming Year 1s! Welcome to Social Work Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) 2021! We are thrilled and so excited to finally meet you! Each year, our orientations always have a theme. This year, our theme is “Finding _ _ _ _”. Hmmm... You may be wondering, what is this blank? Well, we shall keep it as a secret for now for you to find out through the camp! For some of you, this hybrid virtual/face-to-face format may be very new to you. The mass games and activities in the physical orientation camps that you may have gone through in your secondary school, polytechnic, or junior college may feel very distant in this pandemic period. Nevertheless, thank you for your enthusiasm in joining us and we hope to co-create the best FOC experience with you. Let us also work together to keep each other safe and healthy throughout the camp by observing the Safe Management Measures (SMM) that the camp leaders will be briefing you in time to come. Perhaps many of you are experiencing mixed emotions now - excitement, hesitation, anxiety etc. No matter what, we are here to support you in every step of the way. With that, we would like to thank you for choosing to be a part of this journey with us! Sincerely, Social Work Freshmen Orientation Camp Committee
