God blessed my parents with a baby that made them so happy. I am a blessing that brought so much happiness to everyone in the family. I was helpless and still dependent. I can’t stand and feed myself. I sleep most of the time, until I learned how to crawl at six months. My parents tried to give all their best so I will grow up well.

I was showered with care and love and started to learn new things that made my parents happy and proud. I started to crawl, shake a rattle, sit and stand alone. Teeth started to come out. When I was one-year old, I celebrated my first birthday. I can now eat solid food like fruits and vegetables. I needed them to grow up well and fast. I can drink from my sipping cup. I could play a ball and started to walk by myself. I could already say a few words. I was able to say more words and became more playful and active. I walk, ran, climbed, dance and draw circles. My parents introduced puzzles and rhymes. My toys are changed to suit my age and needs better.

I started to do things on my own. I could wash my hands and eat on my own. I could jump and ride a trike on our yard. Enjoyed playgrounds, slides and building blocks. There are many changes happened when I was four years old. I needed to go to school to learn. I met new friends in school. I can now do things independently. I can use spoon and fork better now. I can understand more words now. I can dress up, eat alone and knows how to listen and follow my parents. My parents was so happy to see me grown up to be a child and can now do a lot of things.

My parents enrolled me in kindergarten. I learned a lot from my class. I can draw shapes and write letters and numbers. I could dance to the beat of the music. I could talk and listen to others. I started to make friends and mingle with people. I am now used to talk to other people. I can count and read on my own. I can also help do some household chores. My parents enrolled me in Grade One and I am happy to go to school and learn more things.

Be clear with your words and spell things out correctly in order to avoid confusion and misunderstandings with the teacher a nd classmates . Avoid using acronyms such as LOL (laugh out loud) and TTYL (talk to you later), not all users are as familiar with these abbreviations B is for Be Prepared While participating in virtual classroom discussions, keep your answers short and on topic. You may also use the chat box for your message or questions. C is for Courtesy Be respectful. Even on online classes, use polite expressions like “please” and “thank you.” Raise your “virtual hands” and wait to be recognized when responding to a question or comment. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Option+Y on a Mac or Alt+Y on a PC to raise your hand. Mute your microphone during the lesson to avoid disturbing the class with any background noise. Avoid using all uppercase letters; this is often considered the equivalent of shouting. When you enter the classroom, make sure to enable both audio and video.

D is for Ditching Distractions • Before an online school session begins, eliminate environmental distractions that may divert your attention away from learning. • Clear the room of playful pets or noisy siblings. • Minimize background noise by turning off the TV and radio. • Turn off cell phones. (No multitasking during class!) • Do not to let the microphone broadcast unless you are asked to speak. E is for Early • Be prepared before the online class. Download any necessary software and connect and test devices like microphones or video cameras before the lesson begins.
