SOL ARTE Meet the multi-talented Wolfgang, dental technician anDd sculpture based here in the East Algarveental technician and Sculpture Wolfgang Spengler was born near Stuttgart in 1956 and finished high school. He trained as a dental technician and after completing the master-class, he decided at the age of 29 to work on his own as a freelancer. Eventually he would own his own laboratory with 10 people working for him. Although very stressful Wolfgang enjoyed the challenge. Nearly 20 years later at the age of 49, he decided to move to the Algarve where he would continue his work on his own. He bought a piece of land in Santa Catarina, Tavira and built a house with his own dental laboratory. He learned the Portuguese language through his work communicating with the local dentists. Today Wofgang continues to make dental implants, dentures, crowns and plates. He continues to work for local dentists and is registered to do so. With 50 years in the profession, Wolfgang is happy to give advice about all dental work. For a hobby, Wolfgang has always been designing, carving and sanding sculptures using different materials. Through his profession he has always had to perfect details. This shines through in his sculptures.
