Senior Rabbi Senior Cantor Parshat Yitro Exodus 18:1–20:23 KAREN GLAZER PEROLMAN BECKY A. MANN Yitro brings his daughter Zipporah and her two sons, Gershom and Senior Associate Rabbi Cantorial Intern Eliezer, to his son-in-law Moses. Moses follows Yitro's advice and appoints judges to help him lead the people. The Children of Israel camp in front of Mount Sinai. Upon hearing the covenant, the Israelites respond, \"All that God has spoken we will do.\" After three days of preparation, the Israelites encounter God at Mount Sinai. God gives the Ten Commandments aloud directly to the people. Frightened, the Children of Israel ask Moses to serve as an intermediary between God and them. Moses tells the people not to be afraid. *** Rosalind & Alfred Lippman Gallery “Venturing Forth” Through February 13 Dr. Roz Dorlen has a busy professional double life, as an artist and a clinical psychologist/psychoanalyst. She has been painting for seven decades. Her oils are the product of her quest to evoke moods and feelings that are symbolically significant. Her art is a synthesis of personal feelings, the subjects or colors that inspire, and her materials and techniques. Dr. Dorlen’s work reflects her enthusiasm for world travel and landscapes. She loves to paint on location whenever possible, for example, in her Front Porch and Birches series. Her Spacescapes works depict her lifelong interest in astronomy. LEAH H. STERNBERG HANNAH M.
