Our story begins at the Great Wall marathon in China, a friendship and a dream forged over 42km and more than 5000 ancient steps. That new athlete’s belief is still with us and now drives us towards a greater challenge, one that affects or will affect every person on this planet - Climate change. We wanted to do something but didn’t know where to start. Realistically, how can a single person make a difference to something so big? The opportunity lies in the clothes we wear everyday. Like most people, we didn’t know that it can take 3000 litres of water to make just one cotton t-shirt, that the average American throws away 30kg of textiles each year and that 350,000 tonnes of clothing plies up as landill annually in the UK. We know there are other people concerned about the planet and we believe that if we could harness those individuals and that if one person made a choice and then another and another… We imagined creating a clothing brand that causes minimal impact to the planet. KUSAGA FABRICS Kusaga Athletic Group is a sustainable fabric company that develops plant-based materials for use in the manufacture of clothing; in particular for the sports apparel market. We are committed to pioneering the development of new fabric materials as well as changing the way clothes are manufactured. Leading the group’s research and development and sustainable fabric manufacture is Kusaga Fabrics. To date, Kusaga Fabrics has developed a range of four unique materials that throughout their entire lifecycle contribute minimal impact to the environment. Most importantly, these fabrics deliver a wide range of functionality that match or outperform existing materials, from performance sportswear to casualwear. As a bonus, our sustainable fabrics have naturally inherent qualities such as no odour retention, stain and wrinkle resistance and anti-bacterial qualities. Kusaga Fabrics specialises in working with Events and charity-sports events, Global and local brands and corporations to meet their bespoke needs and sustainability targets.

ECOMESH™ THE PERFORMANCE FABRIC ECOMESH™ is made using lightweight, high performance ibres. Industry leading technology combined with annually renewable resources has created a soft, lightweight performance material for the serious athlete. The journey begins with an innovative manufacturing system that uses a fermentation process to achieve a signiicant reduction in energy use and most importantly, decreased greenhouse gas emissions. The end result is a proprietary fabric that produces a superior hydrophilic surface to most other synthetics, allowing it to wick away perspiration faster.
