KUSAGA ATHLETIC GROUPOur story begins at the Great Wall marathon in China, a friendship and a dreamforged over 42km and more than 5000 ancient steps. That new athlete’s beliefis still with us and now drives us towards a greater challenge, one that affects orwill affect every person on this planet - climate change.We wanted to do something but didn’t know where to start. Realistically, howcan a single person make a difference to something so big?The opportunity lies in the clothes we wear everyday.Like most people, we didn’t know that it can take 3000 litres of water to makejust one cotton t-shirt, that the average American throws away 30kg of textileseach year and that 350,000 tonnes of clothing plies up as landfill annually inthe UK.We know there are other people concerned about the planet and we believethat if more people knew of the alternatives - and that if one person made achoice and then another and another…We imagined creating a clothing brand that causes minimal impact to theplanet. The destructive effect of clothing production on the environment is invisible to the vast majority of the population - it’s just not something we think much about. But the type of clothing we choose tobuy is entirely within our control and a direct way to make a difference, if only we knew how.

STORY 1 Sustainability makes sense in the abstract, but for most of us it’s hard to fully understand the issues and how we can make a difference. As a notion, we think to switch off the lights, re-cycle where we can, not use too many plastic bags and buy organic. But that’s just a fraction of the story.
