GUIDED READING: The goal of guided reading is for students to use these strategies independently on their way to becoming fluent, skilled readers. Guided Reading helps the students to develop positive attitudes towards reading, use appropriate strategies to gain meaning from texts eg inferring, skimming, scanning and comprehending the text .Close reading skills enable them to respond to the language and ideas in the text which helps explore language, to think critically, to access information and use it effectively.
