THE BEACH TRIP
I had a fun day today. I went to the beach with my family. It was my first time I had gone to the beach in North Carolina. We woke up early and drove for two hours until we reached the beach. There was a lot of traffic.
We finally found a parking spot and walked to the sand. It was pretty, and the beach was very crowded. There were a lot of kids playing. My dad set up a big umbrella. I laid my towel out on the sand. My mom helped me put on sunscreen. I didn’t want to get sunburned.
I walked down to the water and stuck my toes in. The water was warm. It felt good. I walked back to my family and told my brother to come swimming with me. “I don’t want to,” he said. “Why not?” I asked. “I’m afraid of sharks” he said.
Then I asked other guys in the beach, and they said “Yes”. We swam together in the warm sea. They are older than me and they love to swim. They swam in the deep water, but I didn’t. Because I was too small.
While we were swimming in the sea, there was someone on the beach shouting “Shark! Hey Shark! Stop it!.” We frightened and ashore for our live. “Where is it? Where is the shark?” Lifeguard said. “There is it.” Old man said and pointed his dog. That made everybody around confused. “It’s my dog, Its name shark. It tries to steal the food.”
Everybody laughed out loud, and We was going back to swim. “No! Don’t you do that again! You read the caution sign, didn’t you?” Lifeguard said. “Sorry sir, we don’t” I said “Then read it” Lifeguard said.
The caution sign showed us that “Don’t swim in the deep water there is poisonous jellyfish.” and “Beware the rip current.” We feel bad about what we did. I apologized to lifeguard and my family.
After sunset we drove back to our house. I was learning about something from this trip. Before we do something, we should comprehend the guidance or caution. We were not always lucky.
