 Arithmetic logic unit (ALU) is a combinational digital circuit that performs arithmetic and bitwise operations on integer binary numbers.  The results are stored in Memory  It also includes comparsions

 A register is a quickly accessible location available to a computer's processor. Registers usually consist of a small amount of fast storage, although some registers have specific hardware functions, and may be read-only or write-only. Temporary date is stored in registers during the execution of the program.

 The control unit of the CPU directs the entire computer system execute, stored program instructions. The control unit directs the flow of data between CPU, memory and Output/input devices.
