Media per annos 'Media through the years'

Pre-Industrial Age

Looking back Artifacts that have been salvaged from the past are more than what they seem. Being able to study these different types of media forms made in the pre-industrial era gives us a glimpse of life back then. This helps us to have a better understanding of how civilizations functioned and how people communicated in the past. Ancient relics are more than just old pieces, they are proof of a community's existence and the life that they had.

Discovered past Our ancestors have used different media forms long before we even gave the term \"media\" to it. It is only through the discovery of these artifacts like clay tablets, pieces of paper with ancient writings, and drawings on caves that we know that such a system and civilization existed in the past. With this, we also know that the media we create today can be immortalized and be seen by the future generations to come and follow.

Industrial Age

Telepathic TELEPHONES Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. It is a telecommunications device that allows users to communicate even when they are physically separated. Telephones were a significant type of media because they facilitated communication by allowing people to easily exchange messages.

P Ink-Jet R RINTE A typewriter is a m echanical device used to type characters. It prints letters one at a time on paper that is inserted into the roller. In many ways, the typewriter replaced the humble pen and paper. They were significant because typewriters pioneered the \"computer-printer\" process, which allows for the creation of a wide range of different media forms.

Electronic Age

A bridge TO THE PUBLIC Electronic televisions rely on a technology called a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) as well as two or more anodes. It was first successfully demonstrated in San Francisco on September 7, a system designed by Philo Taylor Farnsworth, a 21-year-old inventor who had lived in a house without electricity until he was 14.

Portable and small, READY TO GO Before the transistor was invented, radios used vacuum tubes. Although portable vacuum tube radios were produced, they were typically bulky and heavy. The success of transistor radios led to transistors replacing vacuum tubes as the dominant electronic technology in the late 1950s and went on to become the most popular electronic communication device of the 1960s and 1970s.

Information Age (EARLY 2000's)

printf(\"hello, world\"); Ever since the popularity of the internet exploded, the world has become more interconnected than ever where people can instantly send data and information to each other. Traditional forms of media could be digitalized and accessed through the internet via search engines. New forms of media have also begun to emerge during this new era of instant information and data exchange.

Connected World The rise of the internet has given birth to a new type of media called social media. Myspace was then the world's prominent social media platform where friends, family, and acquaintances can instantly send messages to each other and post photos and videos to be seen by those who are connected to you. People can now publicly voice out their opinions for the world to see and people could interact with these posts by commenting and other ways never before possible.

Information Age (PRESENT TIMES)

Anywhere anytime The concept of technology and media in our generation today revolves around being interconnected. Anywhere at any time, we can connect with our friends and family. In today's time, we are dominated by technologies such as smartphones, laptops, the internet, and more. They continue to evolve and give us better access and convenience on our digital needs.

TITLES, PEOPLE, GENRES WHO'S WATCHING? The growth of our streaming devices and websites is one of my favorite advancements. Netflix, one of the most popular streaming services, has a wide range of movies and shows to choose from. You can watch your favorite romantic comedy film, sitcoms, or even South Korea's excellent apocalyptic series. It's one of the best inventions of the late 2000s, allowing us to watch content from the comfort of our own homes.
