CO-CHAIRS’ LETTER This season of FIRST, it was ALL SYSTEMS GO. For the first time, FIRST programs were united under a common theme, FIRST LAUNCH, helping to further strengthen the connections between students and volunteers across our programs. This season brought together more than 570,000 students with 175,000 volunteers and thousands more sponsors, donors, alumni, and other supporters who help fuel the mission of FIRST in 110+ countries. We dedicated our FIRST LAUNCH season to space exploration to mark both 50 years of moon exploration and 30 years of FIRST inspiration. On that Sunday night in July 1969, when the first humans touched down on the moon, the world was united in celebration of human ingenuity and inspired by the possibility that by working together, we can quite literally reach the stars.
