There is a multiplicity of government agencies engaged in various aspects of nutrition activities and one of that is the school. The school serves an important role in child’s development and malnu- trition. Therefore, to promote holistic learners,school should provide healthy food choices and activities. Moreover, an integration of health in various subjects should also be exercised. Health is wealth. There could be no greater wealth than having a good health. Good Nutrition helps learners showup at school prepared to learn. Improving nutrition has the potential to positively influence learners academic performance and behavior. Nutrition Month is celebrated every month of July as mandated by Presidential Decree 491 known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines for the purpose of creating awareness among the Filipino people on the importance of healthy diet and to call the nation’s attention and action on a particular issue on health and nutrition. Similar to last year, Timoteo Paez Elementary School had a meaningful celebration on Nutrition Month, as this year’s theme ’‘UGALIING MAGTANIM, SAPAT NA NUTRITION AAN- IHIN ‘’In this monthlong celebration, various activities and competitions were held to develop the awareness of TPES learners. OBJECTIVES 1. Create school community to be conscious on healthy eating and living. 2. Engage learners in various school activities in relation to Nutrition Month. 3. Develop learners talents in different activities during the Nutrition Month. 4. Awareness as proper Balance Diet for healthy learners and health school community. 5. Create awareness among them on making the right choices of food. 6. Encourage the food industry, producers, distributors, and farmers to make
Parade and Opening Program TPES pupils and teachers brought their posters and slogans as they walked along the streets of Malibay last July 2, signaling the opening of the Nutrition Month 2018 with the theme “Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutri- syon Aanihin.”
Culminating Activity Last July 31, the closing program of the monthlong celebration of Nutrition Month 2018 has come to an end. Awards and certificates were given away to the winners of various activities, making the celebration a truly festive one.

Intermission Numbers Similar to Festival of Talents, the Nutrition Month opening program had numer- ous intermission numbers which wowed the audience. These actually made the pro- gram more festive!
Cooking Contest One of the life skills that EPP-HE de- velops among pupils is cooking. Thus, a cooking contest is held; this consists of a teacher, parent, and a pupil whose task is to make a one-dish meal for the intermedi- ate and cold meals for the primary level. Mrs. Tracy Bruno and Mrs. Eufemia Estopin observe in awe as they judge the father and son tandem in cooking a healthy and delicious meal.
