CHAIRMANS WELCOME / CROESO’R CADEIRYDD President Today is a special day as we say thank you to all our volun- Dai Davies teers at Newtown Rugby Club. We have a fantastic team of dedicated people here at Newtown, giving their time both Chairman on and off the pitch, without whom the Club simply couldn’t James Holloway function. We all follow our local club to watch our children, family and friends play rugby and enjoy their company after [email protected] the game, we owe a debt of gratitude to our volunteers for allowing us to enjoy this experience season after season. If Secretary you see a volunteer today, please say thank you, they are Neil Farrington our Club Champions. [email protected] They say, ‘many hands make light work’ and so we are al- ways looking to get more people involved in the club. Being Treasurer a volunteer is about being part of a team and having some Michelle Jones fun, please speak to us if you would like to lend a hand. [email protected] This afternoon, we welcome Welshpool in the 3rd Round of the WRU Bowl. Today promises to be another competitive Vice Chairman encounter. In our last fixture Welshpool finished the game Bob Jones strongly to take a deserved win, but it hasn’t gone unnoticed the huge strides this young Newtown team are making. We [email protected] are looking forward to another fast expansive game this af- ternoon with plenty of tries, it will be interesting to see how Clubhouse/Community the final score looks after 80 minutes. This team are the cornerstone of our senior squad and funda- Head of Rugby mental to the future success of our club, we hope to see Gavin Randell them back on the pitch as soon as possible. We have also Derek Murray launched our 50th Anniversary Club Membership offer and there is a brand-new sponsorship program which can put [email protected] your business at the heart of a thriving community-based club.
