The Office of Professional Learning is very excited to be launching a new Professional Development Platform to replace eduphoria Strive. Please note that all of your current portfolio history will be imported into your Omni Track portfolio. Below is the link to the website and a short video on how to register for any courses. Additional information regarding Omni Track will soon be available in the OPL Canvas course. Norms for Remote Meetings and Professional Learning The outcomes of any given meeting or training session rely on your participation and presence. Now, more than ever, there is a need to focus on the presenters and actively participate in group discussions. Below are some tips for a successful remote learning experience: Be prepared Be sure to have your session ID, supplies, materials, headphones, caffeine and charger ready to go before the session starts. Check in to each session by entering your name and campus number in the chat box. Be on time It is always best to join the session at least 5 minutes prior to the start time. It is distracting for a presenter to have to let participants into the session after it has started. Be “visibly” present Having your video feature on is very important for both you and the presenter. This allows a more personal environment and facilitates group dialogue. If you are not speaking MUTE your mic. Be professional Even though you are not “at work”, you are “at work”. Dress appropriately, respond when asked a question, leave your video camera on, and don’t check out early.
