2 Gallery Costa Our gallery foundedwith the consultancy ofAsuman Saltuk and SaadetAksoy, embraces thephilosophy of paving theway for the young artists inlight of the master artists.The free spirit, naturalbeauty and history ofBodrum have been home for works of many artists. The faculty of finearts and the Bodrum museum provided the substructure for theprogression of arts. Art in Bodrum is a part of life, rather than beingjust a luxury, need, meeting point or personal expression; it is anaturally occurring phenomenon. In a nutshell, art is in Bodrum’s air.Our intention is to shine this beauty. Our goal is to set sail fromBodrum marina to reach other marinas all around the world. Kilim Art The rug and carpet examples that will be displayed at GalleryCosta are special products of different varieties. Additionally, thepatchwork rug and carpet examples are the old hand weavings ofUşak province; the first dissertation of every rug and carpet was doneby the women living at Uşak countryside as a unique (coupon)product. The old rugs and carpets collected peace by peace andredesigned at our workshop to reach their final look with theingenious handcrafting skills of handicraftsman working there. Thespecialty of the carpets in display is that they are of Isparta and Uşakprovinces. The rugs on the other hand are mainly of Uşak – Eşme andSivas precinct origin. The design work has been implemented atworkshop using the special former weaving examples indigenous tothese regions.
