Very First Sight Word Sentences High level of picture support. Just one sight word added per page. By Anne Gardner, Common Core Connection
Many thanks for your purchase! I hope you find these sight word sentences useful. I am dedicated to creating products that help kids build confidence with early literacy skills. These sight words sentences are designed with a high level of picture support. Just one sight word is added on each page. Because of the highly supportive format, these sight word sentences can be read during small group instruction, chorally with your whole class and/or in literacy centers. These sentences are designed to be introduced at school, and then sent home for repeated practice. I encourage kids to color in a star each time they read the page, and then to bring it back to me when they have filled in all the stars. I often offer a small treat when kids return these completed sheets. If you have comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. If you are happy with this product, I’d greatly appreciate it if you would leave feedback at my shop. I currently have Reading Comprehension Passages for Guided Reading Levels C, D, E, F, G/H, and I/J listed. I also offer a set of Guided Reading Awards and Parent Handouts by Reading Level. I hope you have a moment to take a look. Sincerely, Anne Gardner, NBCT Common Core Connection Graphics by: My Cute Graphics, Acclaim, Workaholic NBCT, and The 3am Teacher. Sight Word Sentences Dear Parents, Your child will be bringing home a set of Sight Word Sentence sheets. These sentences are based on common sight words that your child will frequently read and write. Repeated reading of these sentences will be very helpful as your child develops early literacy skills. Please have your child read at least one of the sheets to you every night. Please provide support as needed to help your child read accurately. At this point, most students benefit from carefully touching each word as they read. Each time your child reads a full page, please have him/her color in one star on the bottom of the sheet. When your child has filled in all the stars on a sheet, please send it back and he/she will win a little treat. It would also be very helpful to have your child write one of these sentences or a sentence using similar words. Please help your child leave large “2 finger spaces” between words. Many thanks for your support helping your child develop early reading skills. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Sincerely,
