About Peter Nehme Childhood Born in 1971, Peter Nehme is a Lebanese music composer, researcher, teacher and orchestra leader. He grew up in a house that was filled with melody and thanks to his uncle—a music teacher who was living in the same house—his musical consciousness has blossomed. Peter learned the musical notes before the alphabet and was two and a half years old when he sang and played any rhythm he listened to. Back then, he transfigured kitchen utensils and car parts from his father’s garage to musical instruments. Thereupon, the music researcher Abdel Ghani Shaaban has noticed Peter’s talent and took charge of his education. Nehme was then surnamed by “The Miracle of the Century”.

Education Nehme joined the national conservatory at the age of three to officially become the youngest student in the history of the conservatory. And by the age of five, he had completed his studies in solfege and music theory. Peter started dreaming of making instruments since he was seven, and hence began learning on 16 different musical instruments. Years later, Peter joined the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and majored in music and harmony education. Moreover, he made researches about the music effects on humans and all organisms in Lebanon and abroad. At a later age, Peter majored in musical instruments manufacturing abroad and his passion for music has led him to master playing on 46 instruments.

Work Experience Peter worked in many factories on musical instruments manufacturing and restoring. Throughout the years, he succeeded in restoring instruments of the Renaissance as well as adding his touches to few others. Thereafter, Peter founded “Peter Music & More” in 2011—a company that sells and repairs musical instruments, and created his own registered brand “Peter’s” that became an international trademark.



A Music Instructor Since 1985, Peter has been teaching music and oriental singing in public and private institutes and cultural centers, as well as giving private music lessons. Besides, he has created 19 curricula for teaching music and sound techniques. Furthermore, Nehme has conducted orchestras composed of his students, the greatest of which included 90 musicians and 40 chanters.



Lectures Peter Nehme gave various lectures as part of the musical awareness and education campaign, in public and private schools and cultural centers in various Lebanese regions as well as at his center Peter's.

Exhibitions Peter held exhibitions and bazaars to sell his own musical instruments “Peter’s” at incentive prices in schools and cultural centers in various Lebanese regions. And there was a live music accompanying the exhibitions besides an explanation about all the musical instruments displayed.

Honors & Awards Throughout his musical journey, Nehme has been awarded for supporting and participating in the success of the cultural and musical projects. Among the most prominent were the honor from the Korean contingent UNIFIL in South Lebanon and the Silver Jubilee Honoring Ceremony of 25 years in the serving of the seminary.



Green Concerto Green Concerto—Peter Nehme’s latest invention—was born due to Covid-19. It’s a project combining calming tunes and photography that aims to raise people’s awareness about the importance of returning to nature.
