Phrasal Verbs “Get”
1. get up Meaning: to stand up after sitting, lying, etc. E.g.: Nick gets up in the morning. 2. get in Meaning: to arrive at a place E.g.: He gets in the car.
3. get along Meaning: If two or more people get along, they like each other and are friendly to each other E.g.: He gets a new friend Tom who gets along with him.
4. get down Meaning: to alight E.g.: A tiger gets down from the mountain. 5. get away Meaning: to escape from somebody or a place E.g.: Suddenly they get away.
6. get out Meaning: to leave or go out of a place E.g.: They really want to get out of here.
7. get through Meaning: to reach a destination E.g.: Finally, they get through this bad situation because they found the way out.
