SeasonBees WrapA great zero-waste alternative to plastic wrap, this hand made bees wrap is a great way to use up fabricscraps. Make wraps in different sizes to cover bowls, fresh vegetables, fruits, and more. The heat from yourhands will mould them to the shape of the food you’re covering. To clean, run under *cold* water (so youdon’t melt off the wax) and wipe clean with a soapy cloth.Materials: ••• Scissors Grater (coarse cheese grater) Cotton fabrics Bees wax Drying rack/line or clothes hanger Cookie sheets Tin foil or parchment paper •••Step 1 - Select cotton fabric, either plain or with fun prints. Cut fabric to size - it’s nice to have a variety ofsizes, with some rectangles, squares, and circles (for covering bowls). Good sizes to start with are 6x6”, 8x8”,12x12” and a few circles with an 8”+ diameter, to generously cover bowls. Preheat your oven to 180F.Step 2 - Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or tin foil. Place your fabric pieces in a single layer on thetrays. Next, use the grater to grate the beeswax (just like you would grate cheese). Cover each piece of fabriccompletely with a thin layer of wax shavings.Step 3 - Place the trays in the oven for about 10 minutes, until the wax is fully melted into the fabric.Step 5 - When fabric is completely saturated with wax, remove from the tray immediately and hang to dry ona drying rack/line, or from a coat hanger. Protect the are below, as there is potential for wax to drip! Once dryand cool, they are ready to use and can be stored folded. Company Name 9
TitleSoup in a JarNothing like a quick and easy meal to fill your belly and warm the heart. Lentil veggie soup is one of my go-tos, the ingredients are affordable and can be found in any bulk isle, and the flavour combinations are end-less. Use this template to create a beautiful soup in a jar, and share your love of good food that’s good for theplanet. Fills one 16ox (pint size) Mason Jar. Materials: ••• 1 tsp sea salt 1 bay leaf 1 1/4 cup of legumes 1/8 cup dried onion flakes 1/4 tsp black pepper 2 Tbsp vegetable soup mix or 2 boullion cubes •••Step 1 - Layer your legumes of choice in alternating colours, so everything presents beautifully. For lentil andsplit pea based soups (which cook quicker), you can layer the spices in the middle. For bean based soups, youwant to cook the beans first (separately), so place the spices in a small jar or packet on the side. In addition tothe base recipe above, you can add the following to create different soup flavours:Morrocan: Coconut Curry Soup: 5 Bean Soup: (layer a mix of beans in the jar)(lentils or chickpeas) (lentils) 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp rosemary1 tsp garlic powder 1 Tbsp curry powder 1/2 tsp mustard powder1 tsp coriander seed 1 dried chili 1 tsp smoked paprika1 tsp ground tumeric Include: 1 can of coconut cream1 tsp cumin1 tsp dried parsley1 tsp smoked paprikaInclude: 1 tin of tomato paste10 |Company Name
