I am the second r l oldest out of 4kids. My older sister Marlo, under me my brother Calvin and o that leaves the baby my sister Lauretta. We were raised up in church M grandparents loved God and taught us the Lord’s prayer we prayed before bed. McCormick Chapel Baptist church in Duffie, N.C. The Spirit of God was always in our church. Rev. Caldwell was the Pastor when I went most of my childhood. When I got older, I started to resist going to church. I started hanging out in the world, doing sinful things, and the lusts of the world was drawing me in deeper and deeper. I remember a time when I had gotten some new clothes for Christmas, they were stolen from the clothesline. I went to my schoolmate’s house because someone gave me false information about him stealing them from me. I was telling his mother he had stolen my clothes, so she told him to get me the clothes from behind the door. I saw that he handed her a shotgun my friend and I ran from the door and turned the corner to run behind the building then we heard the sound like thunder bursting from the gun. We got away without a scratch. That is when I knew that God was watching over me. I was also in 3 car accidents while in high school, and I never got a scratch on me or broken bones. u I started drinking and smoking marijuana in the 9th grade at the age of 14. A year later I started sniffing cocaine. Shortly after that my cousin showed me some cocaine and said if we can get rid of this we can drink alcohol today. I took the money back to my cousin and he was amazed at how fast I sold r it. He pulled out a big freezer zip loc bag full and said if we get rid of this we will be paid. My life as a drug dealer started then. I hustled and made money which was amazing. However, I started getting high off my own supply. I was doing this for a very long time before it eventually caught up with me. My a family and my friends found out that I had an addiction to cocaine. It no longer was just selling and sniffing cocaine. I had moved on to smoking it in weed sometime in cigarettes and in tobacco pipes. Eventually I started y smoking it on a stem, some call it a crack pipe. Yep, I was now smoking crack. Life as I knew it was spiraling out of control fast.","In 1998 I got caught up in a drug bust. I had no fear of doing time in jail and because of this attitude it caused me to do two more state bids. The first was a two to four years sentence and the life changing, 4-Life sentence. Gainfully employed by Hilton Hotels for the past 9 years, with a current role as Executive Chef, Director of Food and Beverage, at the Curio Collection, The Foundry Hotel, Asheville NC. I have an intense passion for organization and structure and seek to employ strategies to help develop approachable solutions to bring structure, alignment and profitability to Food and Beverage Services. My spiritual passion no doubt aligns with the physical, I seek to see those of a broken, bruised, and barren life to be set free by the word and plan of the Living God. The Apostolic anointing and grace on my life is extended to those that are cast down, I am a valley walker. Snatching souls from the crevices of dark places. I love life. And desire to give life to those I meet! Faith in Who? You or God! Being reared by a very strict religious family our values, perspectives, thoughts were almost handed to us. The tone in how we spoke to family and strangers, work ethic, faith…etc. There wasn’t much room for thinking outside of the box…For a long time it was easy to attend to the family way, however there would come a time where I had to think for myself. Choosing to use those handed down principles was my choice. My faith was born in youthful instructions, strengthened by my experiences, and is challenged by hope. I believe my hopes are challenged by my level of Faith. It takes faith to do everything. It is easy to believe GOD for something tangible. However, it requires a higher level of Faith to submit. Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act! I could believe God for items. but I didn’t know how to trust him to release the plans for my Life. It takes Faith to be submitted to the plan of God for your life…Even when it doesn’t seem to be going according to your plans. He Says in Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans I have you; when God makes plans it is a way of development. He plans the shifts, to encourage spiritual agility, he uses the disappoint to strengthen our heart…he allows the setback to expand our reach. To the contrary if we planned our course, it would be void of trouble of full of celebration. God’s way is a way of Submitted Faith! Even when you don’t understand, and all seems to be out of control trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge God in your weakness and allow him to direct your path.","","","","","Until you have a son of your own… you will never know the joy, the love beyond feeling that resonates in the heart of a father as he looks upon his son.","","As I reflect on my life and how grateful I am for the goodness that I have seen, I cannot help but realize that one of the greatest things I have been granted is the opportunity to give. I feel that so much has been given to me for as far back as I can remember. The first example of giving in my life were my parents. I watched them do it over and over again. Many times it was incredibly sacrificial. They gave of themselves in many different ways. It did not matter how much or how little they may have had, they always found a way to share what they had. I am grateful for this example. There have also been many people who have shared out of the goodness of their hearts in my life and made a tremendous impact. I adopted this principle, and applied it to my life across the board. I have truly learned and appreciated many truths as we have engaged in this practice. One of my favorite things is, you must know that whatever you give has not been lost. The reality is that giving increases your capacity to give to receive. As a young child I heard a statement about giving that holds true, "It is more blessed to give than to receive". It would seem that this would be the opposite, but when you discover that what you give creates what you receive, it changes everything. I believe that generosity should be a core principle of our connections with each other. We must be intentional about it, and choose to resist any potential selfishness. Our open hands and hearts produce great opportunities to continue "the flow" that is produced as a result. I am certainly grateful for all that I have been granted in this life. I am thankful for my family, (both natural & spiritual). I am grateful for my business opportunities, and just for the gift of life itself. I know that if it had not been for the gracious, and unselfish giving of others, my life would have never been what it is. I have truly been blessed to be a blessing. The Most High has been good to me. You really will never be able to out give Him. Are you recognizing the opportunities to give of yourself? Are you intentional about giving? Are you grateful to be able to share blessings with other? The scriptures teach us to give, it will be given back to us in good measure, that it will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over, others will give to us. I encourage you to be generous, be grateful, and ….give! Stay positive.,","Being a first time dad has taught me alot about parenthood, responsibilities, patience, and being open minded to ideas. There has been every reason to present excuses but making the choice to stay present appreciating the value of my family setting has shown me that anything worth having is worth fighting for. To let you know a little bit about myself, I was born March 12, 1990 in Merrillville, Indiana. I've been in Northwest Indiana my whole life. I love to bowl together with friends and family when time permits. I also enjoy going to my local church and want to start getting involved with doing more community outreach projects. I guess you can say that I live a normal life, but it wasn’t until early January 2019 that I started to notice a switch occurring in my life. I started to pay attention to things that were going on around me. I also started to recognize that God put me on this earth for a purpose. Soon I realized I needed to seek and find out what this purpose was. I started to go to church more and more, looking for self- discovery in hopes of finding my purpose. One day I heard the pastor say that God wants us to 'use the gifts that are inside of you to be a blessing to others.' That resonated and sat with me very heavily until I finally received clarity on the path that I should go. When I was given the vision for Redirect Regroup Refocus, this was one of the clearest conceptions I had ever seen in my life. On August 12, 2019 I was proud to receive my life coaching certification from New Skills Academy.
