MORTAL MAN: AMERICAN RELIGION 1 BY AMINUS ENIGMA (AUTHOR), PANTHA JONES (EDITOR) If I respect you, we unify and stop the enemy from killing us. But I don't know, I'm no mortal man, maybe I'm just another nigga\" - Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics reflect the story of Dominicus Preach Hood in Mortal Man. If Indiana is a Plantation then Gary, Indiana is the Slave Quarters. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana Dominicus Preach Hood's Father’s life ceased at the hands of a Racist Organization and Det. Frank Giovanni. Dominicus's plot for revenge mimics the tactics of what his father called American Religion’s attack on Black and Brown America. He was blinded by black rage from the injustice of his people, flooding White America with opioids and other legal pharmaceuticals during his College years. Blocking out Yehwah in the process. Almost undergoing the same fate as his father years later Dominicus aborts his mission all together, focusing on the so-called American Dream and the god of American religion. Money. Leaving his hometown behind. He was still disconnected from Yehwah and disconnected from his legacy. No matter how much money he accumulates. Tragedy seems to plague Dominicus and his wife Veronica. Dominicus turns to Yehwah Veronica turns to her flesh. Veronica Hood was Black Church Royalty, she will not be denied nor will she apologize for being raised with a Silver Spoon in her mouth. Veronica did not like this spiritually inclined Preach. Childhood trauma and Queen Mother have her believing certain things about men, money, and marriage that sends her seeking attention. Until she slithers herself into someone that will compromise her Husband and everything he has accomplished. Will this revelation hinder Dominicus from the final task of killing his flesh? What do you do when all eyes are on you to lead? When the hood in you wants blood and the men around you are willing to shed it for you? When shit hits the fan, will they still be a fan? “The knowledge is knowing, when God is preparing you for greatness the Devil is preparing your flesh to hinder you from that greatness. Wisdom is knowing, God’s plan includes the Devil. Because your flesh/ego is the most powerful tool the Devil could use against you. That is why it has to die, Son.” Sabbath Pops Hood aka Black Sabbath Mortal Man is the First book in the American Religion Series.

Travel can be an exciting, eye-opening experience. It’s easy to get caught up in the thrill of adventure. But don’t forget about travel security and safety considerations while you’re abroad. Follow these 7 travel safety tips to help you take a trip that’s memorable for all the right reasons. 1. Do your research Get to know your destination in depth before you arrive. Read traveler reviews and consult with locals for information about the safest neighborhoods, places to stay and incidences of crime. Check the State Department's website for country updates and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). Another important travel security precaution is to know whom to call in an emergency. Get the contact information for the nearest embassy or consulate, police station, and other local emergency departments. 2. Don’t draw attention People who look like they’re from out of town are especially vulnerable to crime, so try to blend in as much as you can. Choose inconspicuous clothing that won't attract attention. Be discreet when looking at maps and approach people carefully if you need to ask for directions. Also consider investing in protective clothing and gear that will make it more difficult for pickpockets to steal money and other personal items. 3. Make copies of important documents You never know when you might need a copy of your passport, driver’s license or another form of identification. Scan these documents to save online and print out several hard copies. That way, you won’t be scrambling to find proper documentation if you need to get home. 4. Keep your friends and family updated No matter whether you’re going, on an overnight jaunt or a month-long international journey, it’s always a good idea to let friends or family back home know. Before you leave, send a copy of your itinerary to a few trusted people who can keep tabs on your whereabouts. Check in regularly with your contacts so they know you’re where you’re supposed to be. 5. Be wary of public Wi-Fi Don’t let the convenience of Internet access cloud your judgment. When you use public Wi-Fi, hackers looking to steal valuable information can access your data including credit card or Social Security numbers. If you do need wireless Internet service, set up a virtual private network (VPN) that will allow you to access the Internet securely while traveling. 6. Safeguard your hotel room Even if your hotel has strong security measures in place, there are steps you can take to make your room safer. Lock and dead-bolt the door and keep your windows shut. You can buy a jammer, which is a portable device that slips under the door for another layer of protection. Try to give the impression that you’re in your room even when you’re away, such as placing the Do Not Disturb sign on the outside of your door and keeping the blinds or windows closed. Don’t let any strangers into your room, even if they say they work for the hotel. You can always call the front desk to check whether someone was ordered by hotel staff to come to your room. 7. Be aware of your surroundings Don’t let your guard down to snap the perfect picture for your social media platforms. Keep an eye on your personal belongings at all times and use good judgment when talking to strangers. A big part of the joy of traveling is the opportunities it affords to meet new people and learn about their cultures. But if someone near you is acting suspiciously, or if you feel uncomfortable, leave the area immediately. Following these tips can help you travel safely, but no matter how many precautions you take the unexpected can always happen. Stay protected with travel insurance from Nationwide, and get peace of mind no matter where you go.

IS SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSING YOU TO PLAY THE COMPARISON GAME? Linda McDowell In this day and time of selfies and living your life like a video drama on social media platforms, we can often find ourselves comparing who and what we are to other people. People can often get depressed thinking they are lagging because they don’t travel or have what other present on social media. Though social media platforms can be wonderful tools to stay connected to family and friends and use for advertisement for your business. There are also many pitfalls with social media. Sometimes, we lose our privacy, our sense of self-worth, and at times our dignity trying to keep up with others on social media. A recent study showed that there is definitely a link between depression and a person’s social media habits. A new term has been coined by mental health professionals called Facebook depression. Social media depression is a real thing that is affecting both adults and children. Facebook depression is a term used that entails the feeling people get when they see their friends leading a “perceived” more exciting life than theirs. In reality, most of the time your friends and family must go through the same day to day hassles of life just like you. We put our most exciting moments on Facebook for all to see, it is not the not the usual snapshot of our day to day lives. Social media does not cause depression, however it can certainly, exacerbate underlying physical and mental health conditions. It is important to note, that balance is the key.

IS SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSING YOU TO PLAY THE COMPARISON GAME? Linda McDowell HERE ARE SOME WAYS SOCIAL MEDIA CAN AFFECT OUR HEALTH BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, I OFFER THIS SO WE CAN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES. Bullying, this happens with both children and adults, a lot of time people use social media to say things they would not dare say in person. FOMO-Fear of missing out, we spend a lot of time on social media catching up and fearing we will miss something. Decreased physical activity- when we are spending a lot of time on social media sites, we are less active, and this can affect our physical health. Sleeplessness- It has been shown that the lighting on computer screens, keep us awake longer at night because they mimic the daylight. Also, sleeplessness is a major factor in causing depression. This sleep deprivation affects 60% of teenagers, especially if they are using social media an hour before bed. They end up getting 1-2 hours less of sleep that their counterparts who do not use social media before bed. So how can we find the balance, and keep ourselves both physically and mentally healthy? Take a day or so break from social media. If you find it hard to take a day off, then you know you are addicted to social media. Have a daily cut off time and make sure that time is at least an hour before you go to bed. Know your own worth, and realize everything you see people doing, is not what happens every day of their lives. Most people capture the best moments of their lives on social media.

IS SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSING YOU TO PLAY THE COMPARISON GAME? Linda McDowell Find gratitude for the blessing you have in your own life, your family, the knowledge that you have all you need, and your relationships. Make a gratitude list and write down all the blessings in you have in your own life. Enjoy the experiences of life, a kiss from the one you love, a sunset, a brisk walk on a fall day. Stop comparing yourself to others, we each have our own journey, and our own gifts and talents. Let your gifts and talents shine through in your life. Stop procrastinating, you can accomplish what you want if you set your mind to accomplishing your goals. Also ask yourself, are you ready to pay the price for having your dream life. Living your dream life take time, dedication, effort, and sheer determination. All are worthy goals, and those who live a dream life have had to sacrifice something to achieve what they have. Enjoy your life, now at this moment. Do you, to the fullest, and capture your awesome moments. Also, be realistic in knowing that we all have phenomenal moments in life, and then we all have the day-to-day grind. Take time for your physical health, eat healthy foods, spend time moving and doing physical activity, and spend time alone to catch your breath even if it is only for 10 minutes. Take time for your spiritual health- Spend time with the creator, thanking him for all the blessings you have in your life. Take time to listen to the still small voice inside of you. Finally put it all in perspective and realize that the ideal is to live a balanced life. Social media is a helpful tool, but it is no more than that!

POSITIONING YOURSELF AS CREDIBLE IN YOUR INDUSTRY/NICHE!!! Life Coach Jeff Releford Many of times we always ask ourselves how can we set ourselves up for success within my industry? Well let’s take a look at this question. When we are preparing many of us do not understand or know that process or what it looks like. Hopefully I can help with that today. When you position yourself in your industry the name of the game is credibility!!! Credible in what you may ask. The simple answer to this question is knowledge. Step one is to learn the most that you possible can about the industry that you are in and what you can do to benefit or change it. For instance if you are an auto mechanic you should have the drive and determination to learn as much as you need to know about cars. You do this so whatever car comes into your shop you should be able to fix it. Just as this auto mechanic has taken the time to learn about cars you must do the same with your craft and/or unique gift. The more that you know the more helpful you will be to your clients. Step two is to set yourself up in a position to be an expert. Wow well Life Coach Jeff how do I set myself up to be an expert? You need to be around people that see you as credible who can provide an opportunity for you! If you are considered and expert these people should want you use you on their platform so that you can give you EXPERT advice or opinion. These are the platforms are known as the big 3 television, publications, and social media!!!! If you find a way to infiltrate any of those three or all of the above you will become very successful in you field. Put yourself in the best possible situation for people to seek you out. Look at who wants you to be apart of their team and see what they bring to the table. See how a partnership can be mutually beneficial for you as well. Set your price points within your industry. Price points are very key for your success to financial freedom. You want to know your worth but also set up a stratification plan to get to your personal goal. Creating a system that can work in your favor while offering meaningful packages that create a ton of value. sometimes you have to offer a lot in a position where it looks small to others but profitable for your market. If you need help or would like to receive any of these tips on a deeper level. You can reach me via email [email protected] or social media Facebook or Instagram RRRinc19

Self-Care, Self-Affirmation and Self-Love Self-love is one of the purest forms of self-care. The art of loving self is a daily practice essential for self-preservation. Self-affirmation is a key component of self-love. Making positive, uplifting statements affirms and reinforces love for self. In order to love others, we must first love self. Self-care and self-affirmations are vital elements of recovery and healing. We empower ourselves to take charge of our own mental wellbeing through the practice of self-care. By practicing self-care, we give ourselves the authority to say what is healthy for our mental wellbeing and what is not, thus creating the opportunity for us to choose. Self-care is not selfish but is self-preserving. We cannot show up for others and give to others when we don't have it left in use to give. July 24th was International Self Care Day. It was a day that internationally encouraged everyone to engage in some type of self-care to promote mental well-being. Every day should be a day of self-care. Simple acts such as treating yourself to your favorite cup of coffee, starting your day with a nice, relaxing shower, listening to your favorite playlist, journaling, or going for a morning walk are all acts of self-care. Be mindful, be intentional, and be present with whatever you choose to do for self-care. The main factor to reach maximal benefit in acts of self-care is to be intentional and mindful. Allow yourself to move through each one of your senses to fully engage and immerse yourself in the self- care activity. Engaging in self-care is not only an act of self-preservation, but it is also self-rewarding. You will thank yourself that you did it! Self-affirmations replace self-defeating and self-sabotaging thoughts. Positive affirmations also provide hope and light. There are several ways to make self-affirmation a daily practice. One practice I encourage my clients to use is the mirror technique. The mirror technique is standing in the mirror and making positive affirmations. This technique force individuals to face themselves. This technique requires the individual to stand with a strong posture and make \"you\" statements such as \"you are fearfully and wonderfully made\" or \"you will do great things today\". This technique affirms positive thoughts of yourself. Another technique uses post it notes. The post it notes technique consists of writing positive, affirming statements on post it notes and sticking them in places such as a bedroom, bathroom, office, or car to serve as positive visual reminders throughout the day. They are like light bursts of sunshine. Abundance for God’s People Kari Roper, RN, BSN I am a Registered Nurse, a Life and Health Coach, and owner of Nourishment Network. Nourishment encompasses everything in the world of wellness and that’s what I do: integrate social, emotional, physical and spiritual healing. Networking is connecting. Connecting people to new ideas, tools, foods and recipes. Connecting to God, connecting to other people, programs and health-focused organizations with ongoing support and accountability. My business helps people make the connection between food, their bodies, family and community to make the world a healthier place. God intends for us to live in abundance, yes? Abundant love, abundant relationships, abundant wealth and abundant health. And the scriptures tell us that we should take care of our bodies. 3 John verse 2 reads: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” So, why aren’t Christians healthier than the average American? Don’t worry, no judgement here. Just curiosity. We can’t rely on God to fix something we’ve done to ourselves over many, many years. But belief in God is critical to reducing stress, and that improves our immune system, which helps us heal and prevent illness.

Abundance for God’s People Kari Roper, RN, BSN We ALL need a revival! A spiritual revival, an economic revival, an educational revival, and a food revival. We need to return to the practices of our forefathers in many ways. We need to bring prayer back into schools, we need to bring Christ back into marriages, and into the family. And we need to bring REAL food back into our diets. Food from Earth’s Abundance. If your great grandmother wouldn’t recognize it as food, it isn’t REAL food. That means almost everything in a box, bag, can or jar. These highly processed foods are making Americans sick and fat. But, that’s not all folks. The toxic chemicals in the products we’re putting in our mouths and on our bodies are contributing to the onslaught of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and dementia. Both cancer and diabetes have tripled in the past 40 years and are expected to affect one of every 2 people by the year 2050. So, take a look at the person next to you. Will you get cancer, or will he? Which one of you gets diabetes, and which one gets cancer, dementia or heart disease? Here’s the science on the subject: There are 3 major things causing all the physical misery, sickness and obesity in our culture. 1) Our Diet and Lifestyle 2) Toxic Environment 3) Stress

Abundance for God’s People Kari Roper, RN, BSN I was watching the news a few months ago, (I know, it’s awful but my husband refuses to turn it off.) They were interviewing a physician; I believe he was an oncologist. He said that he was seeing many younger patients, in their 30’s and 40’s and he couldn’t figure out why. I was screaming at the TV: “YOU DON’T KNOW WHY? I KNOW WHY!” I couldn’t believe it. Mainstream medicine really doesn’t understand the relationship between your disease and how you live your life. People born in the 1960’s and earlier hold doctors on pedestals. We trust what they say, the treatments they recommend and we trust that there is scientific research responsible for what they are advising. We trust that medications are actually safe and effective. Mainstream medical practitioners deserve to be knocked off those pedestals. They are selling out to Big Food, Big Pharma, Big Media and Big Tech. It’s all about making a buck, not about health, and especially not about healing. Most of them have zero training regarding nutrition and natural healing modalities, the medications they prescribe aren’t what they claim, and in many cases actually increase your risks of side effects, further inflammation and disease! Many of the textbooks used by physicians in training are written by drug companies themselves. This should be a huge RED FLAG to anyone reading this.
