The safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff are of the highest priority at VERSO. To minimize the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our school community, the following guidelines have been introduced. These may be adjusted depending on the conditions and regulations in effect at that time and are subject to change according to government directives. Every one must strictly follow mask wearing, regular hand washing, daily temperature checking, physical distancing and daily self-assessment risk checklist on Thai Save Thai (TST). We will continue to provide high-quality learning experiences for our students, whether on campus or at home and will frequently update families regarding our policy and procedures, which will be regularly reviewed and updated with guidance from the Royal Thai government, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Every student, faculty and staff must complete the VERSO Family & Staff Travel History Form prior to joining the school as required by the Thai Ministry of Education. Daily and weekly procedures for families, faculty and staff • Complete the daily self-assessment risk checklist on Thai Save Thai (TST). • Complete the After Hours Tracking Form to record their activity outside school hour and during the weekend. The After Hours Tracking Form will be created by the Loop Leaders and shared with the students. • Take the antigen test twice a week.
Campus Access • All students, faculty, and staff must have a negative Antigen test result before entering the campus. Antigen tests must be taken on the first day of returning to school from weekends and breaks. The second one is to be taken 2 days later. • Parents and visitors can only enter the campus by appointment. Parents must complete the Family & Staff Travel History Form and visitors must complete the VERSO Visitor COVID-19 Self Declaration Form and show a negative ATK test result. • Parents and visitors must only go directly to the location of their meeting. No one will be allowed in the learning spaces.
COVID Antigen Testing As required by the Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Education, all students, teachers and staff on campus are required to take antigen tests twice a week. ● Antigen tests are required to be taken by students, teachers and staff in accordance with the procedures on the first day of returning to school from weekends and breaks. The second one is to be taken 2 days later. ● Anyone absent on the day of the testing date must provide a negative test on the next day they return to campus. ● Antigen test days are marked in red shown in the calendar, which may be subject to change. In a school scenario, the test is most effective if it is taken in the morning before coming to school. ● Please note that these procedures are based on the current requirements by the government and may be changed and adapted whenever the restrictions are relaxed.
Actions for Test Results Regular Precaution Category ● Students, teachers and staff who are tested positive with ATK before they come to school should take the RT-PCR test from hospitals for confirmation. If the result is still positive, contact local health facilities where doctors can advise treatment in home isolation or community isolation. ● Students, teachers, or staff who are tested negative with ATK but are suspected to be at risk of infection must repeat the antigen tests 3-5 days later, because the level of the virus might be too low to be detected in the first test. They should obtain written clearance from hospitals that they are free from any COVID-19 infection before they can return to the school. Any positive test will be reported to the school nurse immediately. VERSO will refer to the After Hours Tracking Form for contact tracing to determine which community member falls under Tier 1 (high-risk) or Tier 2 (low-risk) as defined in VERSO COVID-19 Response Matrix. In accordance with the Ministry of Public Health, VERSO will be required to close for a minimum of 3 days for deep cleaning.
Actions for Test Results Suspected Infection Category ● For students who are tested positive with ATK while they are on campus, the school clinic will contact the parents for their collection. They should take the RT-PCR test from hospitals for confirmation. ● If the result is still positive, contact local health facilities where doctors can advise treatment in home isolation or community isolation. ● While the student is waiting for collection, he/she will be asked to rest in the clinic. Before he/she moves from the testing area into the clinic, the nurse will turn off the air-conditioning of the clinic and open all the windows and doors for better ventilation. ● The clinic will be closed until the student leaves the clinic and the clinic is sanitised. ● In case of other emergency cases, the treatment room on the right corner will be used. ● For teachers, staff, visitors, or contractors who are tested positive with ATK while they are on campus, they must leave the campus to take the RT-PCR test from hospitals for confirmation. ● They should obtain written clearance from hospitals that they are free from any COVID-19 infection before they can return to the school. Important: ● In any of the above cases, the school nurse must immediately report to the Head of School, Operations Director, School Director, and Facilities Manager. ● The School Director can then report to the Ministry of Education in OPEC and Ministry of Public Health in Samut Prakan.
