SUBJECT AND OBJECT PRONOUNS • SUBJECT AND OBJECT PRONOUNS ARE WORDS THAT REPLACE PROPER NAMES OF NOUNS. SUBJECT PRONOUNS • Bright is my bother. = He is my brother. • Jujee and Dada went to the jungle. =They went to the jungle. The underlined words are called subject pronouns. The characteristic of a subject pronouns is it always appears before a verb.
OBJECT PRONOUNS • I met Alex last night. = I met him last night. • The principal came to me yesterday. • Yesterday, I saw her children. = Yesterday, I saw them. The underlined words are called object pronouns. The characteristic of an object pronoun is it always appears after a verb.
