ABOUT US: Under the patronage of his Royal Highness, Prince Saud bin Naif AlSaud, prince of the eastern province, Shamah Autism Centre (SAC) was established in 2016 through a generous grant from Saudi Aramco company. SAC aims to rehabilitate individuals affected with Autism Spectrum Disorder, develop their skills, and enhance their abilities by providing supportive education environment that promote their inclusion in education and society. SAC is based in the west of Dammam city, about 5 kilometres far from DhahranJubail Express way. SAC facility has been expertly designed and constructed for the care and comfort of clients and their families and it hosts the basic facilities for education, training and rehabilitation in various fields needed by clients and their families.

The building comprises of specialized clinics, classrooms, sensory integration rooms, family training unit in addition to two swimming pools, indoor playground and gyms that are all connected to a CCTV System, streaming and recording, which is essential for monitoring the activity of clients and workers. Because SAC is adopting the latest evidence-based interventional methods, the facility has been designed in a way that fits Applied Behaviour Analysis method. Throughout the treatment course, clients get multidisciplinary treatment plans unique for them in consistent with their individual proficiencies and capabilities. Therapy takes place in divided clinics where individual sessions can be performed. SAC has an absorptive capacity of 100 clients.

‫عن المركز‬ ‫تم تدشين مركز شمعة التوحد للتأهيل في عام ‪2016‬م‬ ‫برعاية وحضور صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن‬ ‫نايف آل سعود أمير المنطقة الشرقية \"حفظه الله\"‬ ‫ودعم من شركة أرامكو السعودية‪.‬‬ ‫ويهدف المركز إلى تأهيل الأشخاص المصابين باضطراب‬ ‫طيف التوحد وتعزيز مهاراتهم عن طريق توفير بيئة‬ ‫داعمة تمكنهم من الاندماج في التعليم والمجتمع‪.‬‬ ‫يقع مركز شمعة التوحد للتأهيل في غرب مدينة الدمام‪،‬‬ ‫ويبعد قرابة خمس كيلومترات عن طريق الجبيل الظهران‬ ‫السريع‪.‬‬ ‫تم تصميم المركز من قبل مختصين ذوي خبرة وبما يلبي‬ ‫احتياجات وراحة المستفيدين وعائلاتهم‪ ،‬ويحتوي على‬ ‫التجهيزات الأساسية للتعليم والتدريب والتأهيل في‬ ‫مختلف المجالات التي يحتاجها المستفيد ‪.‬‬ ‫ ‬

‫يتكون المركز من عيادات تخصصية وصفوف دراسية‬ ‫وغرف تكامل حسي ووحدة تدريب أسري‪ ،‬إضافة إلى‬ ‫بركتي سباحة وساحة ألعاب داخلية وصالات رياضية‬ ‫جميعها متصلة بنظام مراقبة للبث المباشر والتسجيل‬ ‫المحلي لضمان مراقبة نشاط المستفيدين والعاملين‬ ‫بالمركز‪.‬‬ ‫ولأن المركز يتبنى أحدث الطرق العلاجية المبنية على‬ ‫البراهين فقد تم تصميم المبنى بشكل يواءم منهج‬ ‫تحليل السلوك التطبيقي ‪.‬‬ ‫يحصل كل مستفيد على جلسات فردية في عيادات‬ ‫مقسمة يتم فيها تأهيل المستفيدين عبر أنشطة‬ ‫مخصصة لإمكانيات المستفيد وقدراته‪،‬‬ ‫ويمتلك المركز طاقة استيعابية تبلغ ‪ 100‬مستفيد‪.‬‬ ‫ ‬

Objectives: - Rehabilitate ASD individuals to a level that enables them to integrate into education and societPy.rocess 1 - Deliver family training services that aim to support and empower ASD individuals. - Provide integrated environment and well- established rehabilitation programs unique for each client. - Develop SAC employees and improve their performance through periodic certified training programs. - Increase community awareness about ASD, its challenges and the need to implement more early intervention practices. Process 2 Our services: SAC strives to provide its services by implementing the most recent scientific means and following Applied Behavior Analysis treatment style which is globally proven as the best way to treat autism cases. Expert multidisciplinary team of specialists were recruited to provide SAC services that include:

Some key skills in occupation therapy include optical- kinesthetic synergies, sensory integration, fine motor skills like writing and coloring, and personal care skills Physical therapy aims to enhance participation of ASD individuals in physical exercises, promote their physical activity, support their motor balance and coordination, overcome their delay in behavioral, sensory, and motor development and social networking.

Aquatic Aqua therapy is used as a medium for treating many of the rehabilitati functional limitations of ASD individuals, to encourage them to respond to stimuli in the environment in addition to improve on their social skills by participating in group therapy sessions.
