Camarines Norte State College NEWS Daet, Camarines Norte CNSC supports 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration The Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) joins the entire nation in the observance of the 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC). The College headed by its OIC President Dr. Josefina Socorro F. Tondo through the Gender and Development (GAD) Office chaired by Dr. Analyn D. Ramos spearheads the month-long activities as follows: All Mondays of March - Assigned unit/office shares about the NWMC during the virtual flag-raising ceremony and the CNSC Community joins the #Purple Monday Initiative; March 29-30 - Conduct of a Webinar Forum tagged March 1-31 - Production and distribution of March 1-31 - Display/Posting of the official 2021 NWMC as Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya!; Information, Education and Communication (IEC) banner in the LED Billboard display and official social media materials for women; accounts; and March 1-31 - Use of the official collateral designs released by the Philippine Commission on Women. Printed By: Rusty Abanto and MIS Head Raymond Zaratar during the awarding of prizes to the winners of SMART Technology sponsored raffle draw for CNSC students to aid student’s online learning. Cash prizes, tablet, cellphone, and pocket wifi to ensure best signal and more stable connectivity were given away. SMART Technology in partnership with Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) initiated the conduct of a raffle draw for CNSC students which aimed to help them in their online learning. The support to a raffle draw was granted to SMART Infocast Users that SMART Technology provided to CNSC for free. The Infocast System was given to CNSC in 2016 which is being used to relay important announcements to the CNSC Community. Winners were selected online via Zoom using an online picker. Mr. Barry Guibone, SMART Representative witnessed the event. A total of 2,143 students from all campuses of the College have participated in the raffle by simply registering in a Google Form facilitated by the Management Information System (MIS) Office headed by Raymond Q. Zaratar. The raffle draw was exclusive for SMART, TNT and SUN subscribers only. 10 winners of 100 peso load each, 1 winner of a tablet, 1 winner of a cellphone, and 1 winner of pocket wifi were picked. Aside from the support extended to CNSC through a raffle draw, SMART Techology in its continuing assistance to the College, donated 30 more of their pocket wifi. The Smart pocket wifi ensures best signal and more stable connectivity. The provision of pocket wifi to selected students ensures that learning will continues especially for disadvantaged teachers and students. That engaging and interactive learning will be carried out anywhere because of this technology. Further, this donation will help CNSC Community to have wider access to the right information at all times, This is SMART Technology’s way of supporting government agencies like CNSC to deal with the current situation due to pandemic. (GA Delos Reyes) CNSC, DA-RFO 5 signs MOA on Massive Seedling Production and Distribution A memorandum of agreement was signed between Department of Agriculture Regional – Field Office No. 5 ( DA- RFO 5) and Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) through CNSC- Labo Campus, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources on the implementation of a collaborative project tilted, “Massive Production and Distribution of Pineapple Planting Materials” under Bayanihan II. The agreement was signed by Rodel P. Tornilla, MABE, Regional Executive Director- RFO-5 and Dr. Rusty G. Abanto, SUC President III- CNSC and witnessed by Luz R. Marcelino, RTD for Operations, Dr. Lilibeth A. Roxas, Vice President for Administration and Finance- CNSC, Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez, OIC-Chief, FOD/ HVDCP Regional Coordinator- DA RFO 5, Dr. Ricardo D. Dino, Campus Director, CNSC- Labo Campus, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Evangelina Ruth D. Poloyapoy, Chief- Accountng- DA RFO 5, and Madeleon B. Lee, CPA, Accountant CNSC. The DA RFO 5 allocated funds for the production of 400,000 pieces of pineapple planting materials amounting to two million pesos (Php 2,000,000). Meanwhile, CNSC Labo Campus is assigned to produce and distribute the said number of planting materials. Likewise, the latter will assist on the monitoring of the distributed materials.
